History

Established in 1999.

Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop started in the basement of First Baptist Church in the late 90’s. Its first name was the Clothes Closet. In the early 2000’s the Clothes Closet moved to St. Peter’s Church and was renamed the Thrift Store In the fall of 2005. The Thrift Store moved into its current location (198 Rantoul Street, Beverly). During the summer of 2009, the thrift store expanded and was re-​named Boots, Straps and More: Bargains for a Cause. This name was developed through a contest. We have re-​branded recently and we are now known as Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop.

Thanks for checking in! My name is Jackie. I’ve been managing the store for 2+ years now. I started as a volunteer and was lucky enough to become the Manager. I love this store and all is represents. All the proceeds from the store sales go to support the varied programs of Beverly Bootstraps Community Services, Inc. Come on down to shop or to just say hello.
