History

Established in 1992.

Beverly Bootstraps Community Services began in 1992 with the establishment of a food pantry in the basement of Beverly’s First Baptist Christ Church. The food pantry quickly became an invaluable resource for the local community. Over the years, the organization grew and strengthened its capacity to address hunger-related issues, such as education shortfalls, housing insecurity, and poor health. Currently, we have a staff of twenty and occupy a wonderful building at 371 Cabot Street that houses our expanded food pantry, classrooms, and state-of-the-art computer lab. After 18 years, Bootstraps has proudly established itself as one of the North Shore’s premier social service agencies.
