This is the best pizza I’ve ever had on the North Shore. Crust is the perfect thickness, nice and crispy, never soggy like so many places. Great cheese blend raises the flavor beyond places using bland mozzarella only. Haven’t tried anything else here, but for pizza it is my go to place.

A few months ago we got a calzone that was way undercooked. I mean, dough oozing out undercooked. And I’m okay with slightly undercooked but this is gross even to me. I forgot about it and we went back because otherwise it’s a decent place. But tonight we had the same thing happen. Yeah, I could probably call and complain and get a new one or something, but when we get a calzone it’s because we’re feeling very lazy and it’s just not worth it. So, maybe the food is decent, but stay far away from the calzones because they apparently haven’t figured out how to cook them correctly.

I first found about this place from my sister who lives a two minutes away and asked her where she got the delicious pizza from. Even though we had had dinner at my sisters house we still picked up a pizza on the way home it was delicious. Since then we have gone back many times every time the pizza has been consistent every time. There’s pan pizza & it’s in squares. Every Monday night they have a special large cheese pizza for $ 7 you cannot beat it especially because of the quality. We buy 2 that way we have 1 for the following day. Usually you don’t buy pizza for the next day but even heated up it still tasted delicious. I would give this place five stars only I haven’t tried anything else on the menu other than pizzas. Enjoy & so far my favorite pizza place in Beverly.

The owner needs to stop being an asshole to his employees. They work hard and every time I go in he’s giving them a hard time. Good food sometimes, sometimes it’s nothing special

These guys are awesome. Great service! We dined in and the restaurant was clean and inviting. They have parking out back with a separate backdoor entrance in case you don’t want to fight the large main parking lot out front! Monday’s are famous for their large cheese pizza for only $ 7! The owner, Al, came over and delivered each plate of food to our table, accommodated my daughter with slicing up her pizza slice and cooked the kids a free«appetizer» of a basket of French Fries! He even changed the TV station from MSNBC news to PBS kids! Love that!!! We eagerly learned a bit more about his shop and the other location of Marios in North Reading and his ambitions of opening another location of Freedas, respectfully named after his mother! Al said he delivers Freeda’s food EVERYWHERE around the North Shore! That’s good news as we’ll be getting delivery from here from now on! Go here for your next meal! You won’t be disappointed!!!

LOVE this place… Like TOO much… Way TOO much. :) The pizza is one-of-a-kind with very original, fresh, toppings. Unique, delicious, flavors for every palate. The portions are large and perfect for a party or event. The staff is friendly and timely, and the best part about it is after a long week at work you can come home, get comfortable, order your custom order online, and have it show up at your doorstep ready to grub on! A MUSTTRY, if you are in the mood for pizza and something a little different from the usual, average, pizza!

Overall an enjoyable service and quality level of food. I come from Upstate NY where pizza is exceptional and I found a difficulty sticking with a vendor when I moved to Massachusetts. Freedas has become our preference!

First time at Freeda’s, only ordered here since they were«donating» a percent of profit to a Beverly high club. Ordered online and paid in full. Sent my daughters down to pick up our order. First, some how after paying online my daughter was charged another $ 1.80, it’s not the $ 2.00, either the site charged wrong or she got beat for $ 2.00. After paying they sat down with some friends waiting for our order. I believe the same guy mentioned in previous reviews began bellowing, «hey girl, come get your order», and repeating the same command. Needless to say, he puts people off. I had the chicken parm. Dinner, is was like«McDonald’s Italian food». Sauce was just ok, chicken was super thin and over cooked, pasta was mushy. Fries were soft and a buffalo chicken wrap was just average but a great job on the Caesar salad. I guess 1 out of 4(25%) is what I can offer.

Decent pizza, great value. For $ 5 you get 2 slices and a fountain drink. The pizza is typical for this region, nothing special, but not too bad either. The other added benefit this place has is it’s close enough to my work that I can walk there. This will be a regular addition to my Beverly lunch rotation, particularly when I’m looking to keep it cheap. Best lunch on a tight budget I’ve found in Beverly so far.

We grabbed a small pizza with 3 toppings and 2 fountain sodas. The total was just under $ 20. Each additional topping was $ 1.50 for a small and $ 2 for a large. The pizza was ok. I felt that the crust should have been cooked a few minutes longer as the middle of the pie was still a touch doughy. The crust that was done through was great. The eggplant was tough and my partner felt that the artichoke didn’t taste fresh. The caramelized onions stole the show. Perfectly cooked and sweet, I could eat a pizza with cheese, red sauce and a load of those onions. Over all the pizza was pretty meh, as good as I could get elsewhere for a little less money. The girl at the counter was very nice. To older guy in the back was nice enough but has«resting angry face.» He asked me, with a smile, how everything was when I got a to go box. I’ve read a few horror stories about him from previous reviews. I don’t know when these small business guys will learn that terrorizing employees isn’t a good way to motivate them.(Read my review on the Beverly PinkBerry and Salem’s Jaho.) All it does is make them unsure of themselves and more likely to make mistakes. It’s a fast food establishment, one screw up isn’t going to break the bank. And even if it does, that isn’t the employees fault. Anyway, while we were there it was clean. A steady stream of high school kids and a few college kids stopped in. Not everyone bought something, but the high school and college boys scarfed up the slice and a soda special– Slice of cheese and a soda for $ 3. Any entry into the crowded pizza scene of the Beverly Salem area is going to have a rough time. I don’t see Freeda’s lasting. There are too many affordable lunch and quick dinner options in the plaza and the pizza is just not quite good enough. Also BWHAHHAHAHHA at Herb Z.‘s review of this place that included a reference to «The Upper Crust» as the best pizza taht ever was in Beverly. Oh my god, I hope that’s a joke because that was almost the most god awful pizza I’ve ever had the misfortune to put into my mouth.

Overall pretty good. They try to do something different with pizzas and it’s working. It’s not just different types and flavors but the quality is good too. Not a 5 star review because of two things: 1. the staff could use some coaching on customer service and getting orders processed more quickly [EDIT] Things are better in this dept lately. The last few times they have been right on the money. And they’ve been great with custom pizzas too. 2. what’s with the music blasting just inside the front door? Turn down the speaker please. My kid won’t come here because of it.

I want to like this place, and the pizza is soo close to what I am used to(NJ pizza), but there is a bit too much oregano in the sauce. The chicken parm on focaccia was a bit chewy and the cutlets were dry and thin. I may give it one more try but pizza only.

the place was clean and well kept. it has a new feeling to it. they use nice furniture, not the cheap plastic chairs. they have 2 HDTVs on both sides of the wall and their 2 menu boards are the same HDTVs. their lunch special is as follows: 2 cheese + drink = $ 3 2 gourmet slices + drink = $ 5 calzone + drink = $ 6.50 they have some other stuff that’s not on their online menu. they also premade salads in the open fridge thing and bottled drinks as well as fountain drinks. the owner(i’m assuming) was very nice and friendly and helpful. they only thing I didn’t like were the salty pizzas. they were very salty but the friend we went with who is a regular there said it usually isn’t like that so i’ll give them a mulligan. but the taste was good. i’m not a huge pizza fan so this store already had a lot to prove to me so maybe my review shouldn’t mean too much.

Okay, I ordered a pepperoni sicilian pie from this place and I have to say that it was pretty good! In fact, a couple days later I ended up craving it and came back by myself. When I went the first time, my friends and I also shared a chicken parm. calzone and it was solid. Also, This place has two gigantic T. V’s that give good company while you eat. So if you want to come here alone for a quick lunch break it’d be perfect: D The prices are good and the food is solid. I haven’t been disappointed by anything I’ve ordered so far. I would say that this is a great place to go to for a casual lunch or dinner outing. Solid food, open atmosphere.

Wow! Freeda’s is a great addition to the plaza in Beverly, and to all pizza offerings in Beverly. It’s in the spot formerly home to Upper Crust which was a nice surprise. My partner and I were just running to the CVS when we saw the newly opened Freeda’s and wanted to give it a try. The staff is super nice. We were welcomed by several people, one of whom I think was the owner, upon walking in the door. They’re currently offering a free slice to all customers which is awesome. We each got a slice and sat down while waiting for our pizza. The slices were really good; I got one with white sauce, chicken and broccoli while my friend went safe for the cheese. We couldn’t wait to try our pizza once we tasted the slices. Just great quality pizza which is rare these days in our area! We took home the Messina pizza which had pesto, tomatoes and white sauce and I think it lasted 20 minutes. Next time we’ll have to get a large, although the small is pretty big(8 slices). The wait wasn’t bad at all and they had a television showing the Beverly high school football game so that was a nice local touch. I think we’ve found our new go to pizza place and it’s so much closer than the good ones in Boston which makes me very happy! I hope they have a ton of success and get more loyal customers because their product truly is superior to other places around here!
