Connell’s is an absolute joy to do business with! Last year, my Mom decided that we needed a fresh orchid in our entry year round. So she sent me one each month from them. Whenever I need a new plant or flowers for her i call them and the deliver the best stuff! they always deliver the most gorgeous orchids and flowers I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t dream of getting our Orchids anywhere else! I have never been anything less than completely thrilled with the beautiful work from them.

Their customer service stinks. The hubster decides to send me get well flowers through . Connell’s is supposed to fufill the order. My husband ordered well before the cut off time for same day delivery. He kept asking me if the flowers came. Well afternoon came, evening arrived and night fell, still no flowers. I call FTD to cancel the order. My husband wanted the flowers to come yesterday, not today. I don’t like that. What if I went into a store, paid for something, and they said you can get it tomorrow? Um, no that’s not how things work. Anyway that isn’t even the biggest issue. The biggest issue is a staff member(manager?), Maureen, calling me a liar. Apparently FTD told them to re-deliver the f lowers today, even when I asked them this morning to completely cancel the order. I called the store as soon as the flowers came to see what was going on. Maureen answered the phone and told me that I needed to deal with FTD. So I call FTD again, and the customer service agent stated she would issue a refund, after Connell’s picked up the bouquet.Great. I called Connell’s to see if they could give me a time frame when they could pick up the flowers. Maureen was extremely snotty and rude stating that she would«fight the refund» and that I would just«have to wait»? Huh? My husband paid for a service that he didn’t get. She proceeded to argue with me that her driver left a slip when I didn’t answer the door. First of all, three different people came to my house yesterday. Not one of them was the florist. Secondly, there was no slip. She just kept insisting that there was and that annoyed me. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I think it was her attitude that really pushed me to make sure I get this refund. I probably won’t use FTD again, and I DEFINITELY would never use this florist.

Connells Maple Lee is kind of like combining a florist with a Hallmark store. They sell both real and artificial flowers. The real flowers are in a refrigerated closed in room and are pretty decent priced. Dozens of roses and other flowers are sold at a pretty decent price of under $ 20. Fridays they have a BOGO special that starts at 3pm and goes until closed where you can get a handful of any pre-wrapped flowers. Currently there is sale for tulips at $ 9.99, which is pretty nice. They also sell flowers individually from $ 1 to $ 3. Gift-wise, they have things for weddings including bridal magazines, something for the OSU fan, and babies or baby showers. Near the flower fridge are shelves of gourmet basket gifts. The Fine Whines were napkins which had written on them commonly found acronyms and words that were turned into clever women jokes.
