Music Plus is one of Biddeford’s many«hidden gems.» I don’t want to overuse that term, and I’m sure it doesn’t seem«hidden» if you live in Biddeford, but for the rest of us it’s probably an accurate description. Even though Portland has no shortage of stores selling used records, Music Plus is worth the drive, especially if you’re on a budget. Most records are in the $ 3 to $ 5 range, and there are huge sections of $ 1 records and 50¢ records. I like the selection, which has a large number of rock and pop records from the ‘60s to the ‘80s. There are also small sections for other genres like easy listening, country, jazz, classical, and world, and a huge number of 45rpm singles. I’m happy to make the drive from South Portland because it has become increasingly difficult to find ‘60s/‘70s rock/pop records in the Portland area, especially at reasonable prices. I always know that I’m never going to walk out of Music Plus empty-handed… and I also know that it isn’t going to cost me an arm and a leg. The owner is helpful and knows his inventory well. If you can’t find something, just ask him. One of the records I was looking for was hiding in one of the $ 1 bins, and he was able to locate it for me almost instantly. Great service.

I like Music Plus. I’ve bought and sold records here, prices are good, and the selection can get eclectic in a really good way. I’m glad this store is hiding in Biddeford and isn’t in Portland’s Old Port, the prices are better and there aren’t as many other customers to compete with for the good stuff.

Pretty decent place for vinyl. Prices are all over the place but you can really find some good stuff in there. He’s got some bargain bins out back with some good stuff in it. Check the records though because a 2LP record I was gonna buy had a record missing but he caught it too and was decent about it. Prices are about 5 and up. Depends what the record is.
