Description

Specialties

The historic, rustic log, main lodge was built in 1917 by William Knickerbocker, the first Big Bear Lake Damkeeper, as a private home for his family. It was converted to a Bed & Breakfast in the mid 1980’s, and now consists of four buildings on 2.5 acres. There are 12 guest rooms (2-suites) and a conference room facility.

The Bistro at the Mansion is the gem of the mountains. The food is absolutely fantastic and is open weekends to the public and for special occasions. Reservations required. Dress is Big Bear casual.

Business Owner

Ed and Vickie Harris are new owners as of May 1, 2014. Discovering the Knickerbocker and the Bistro at the Mansion, was like finding gold in Holcomb valley. In their words, «Coming from southern Louisiana the cool mountain air and 300+ days of sunshine of Big Bear makes you feel like you have died and gone to heaven. Come join us soon… you won’t regret it!»
