Wow! This place was amazing. I was on a trip to Big Bear Lake with my family, and we saw this place advertised in a local tourist magazine. Later that evening while walking around the town, we saw the shop and knew we had to go in. It has the feel of what you imagine an old time sweets shop was… in a movie. As soon as you enter they have a HUGE selection of fudge and caramel apples… seriously, more than I have ever seen in one place at once. IN the back of the shop is an ice cream parlour. My kids each got cones, and I picked up a pound of fudge and a caramel apple for later. Everything tasted fantastic. MY only regret is not hitting the shop before leaving to load up on the fudge and caramel apples. Until next time… and there will be a next time!

My advice, come to this shop early and often. Early because it gets so packed and busy. Often because its super duper delicious and awesome. During my stay at Big Bear I was looking around for an ice cream shop and stumbled upon this place. Not only is it an ice cream shop(which they sell in the back), this is also a candy shop. Just take all my money please… here’s my wallet, here’s my credit and debit cards. Dry me out lol. I’ll start with the ice cream. I tried so many flavors its not even funny. The green tea tasted more like vanilla bean but damn was it mighty delicious. So refreshing and yummy. The cookies and cream was a solid choice for me the next time too. The vanilla was one of the better vanillas I’ve had. The black cherry vanilla was on another level of deliciousness. The birthday cake was a bit too sweet. It was good but definitely not the best I’ve had. The best thing about this place is their cones. The waffle cones with some white chocolate or milk chocolate or oreo crumble melted outside the cone gave the whole ice cream experience a whole new level of tastiness. They have other cone options as well such as sugar, cake, etc… but get the big sugar cones with the added features since its definitely worth the money and they do run out of the good ones quick so that’s why you gotta come early. The candy was so good too. I spent about 100 bucks worth of candy here. Most of what I got were chocolate covered pretzels and pretzels sticks. Those are some of my all time favorites. The white chocolate was on point too. The chocolate covered strawberries were fresh and tasty. The white chocolate caramel apple was my absolute favorite here. They are so delicious. The apples were fresh. The white chocolate caramel blended so well with each other. I was in candy heaven. They have so many different options for caramel apples too so be sure to pick up a few… like 5. Overall my stay was made much better once I was able to locate this ice cream shop. It doesn’t help either that it was also a candy shop. I lot of my time was spent here just eating and eating and spending and eating. Located inside the Village, this is a great shop indeed. Service is hit and miss. Catch em early for the better service.

Busy place! Store smells like chocolate when you walk in and I really like the décor with a toy train going around up above. But.their Dark Chocolate Almond Apple was tasteless. I couldn’t even taste the dark chocolate and the almonds were crushed too much like powder. Their apple was not fresh. One bite and I had to throw it away, it was awful, I’ve definitely had better! They only have Dryer’s ice cream there and the line was long for it, not sure why, Dryer’s isn’t the best and you can buy it at the grocery store.

Excellent place to go when you’re in town. I recommend the rocky road fudge. It’s like no fudge you’ve had before. Must go here while you’re in town

I am not sure what the hype is over the Dryer’s ice cream since you can buy that anywhere, but all of the homemade candy was another story. The long line is worth it for the candy and is a clear indication why this place is so popular! We ended up ordering way to many things after standing and peering in the glass at all of the different sugary goodness while we waited. We ordered a toffee covered caramel apple, chocolate mint bark, vanilla walnut fudge, peanut butter crispies, and toffee. The girl offered to pre slice the apple which I appreciated as it made it easier to eat. We used our 10% off coupon from next door and the people behind the counter did an efficient job at getting people through the line as quickly as possible. Everything we ordered was delicious and had a homemade taste to it that you can’t get with grocery store candy purchases. We loved this little place and look forward to going back.

Line was out the door and waited about 30 mins. We got a dark chocolate toffee caramel apple which was delicious. We also got triple chocolate, vanilla nut, and double fudge chocolate fudges which were also decadent and creamy. Got a couple ice creams which were good, but nothing too special. Liked that they gave us huge scoops!

Such a cute little store with fudge, stick candy, ice cream by the cone /bowl and that absolutely adorable train that circles the shop. My top two faves which make this a must stop when we are near by would be the 99 cents chocolate covered graham crackers and the 39 cent stick candy. The graham cracker was a perfectly sized portion for the kids to share and less of a sugar high than the fudge or other chocolates that I was on the fence about.(30 secs more left unattended and I probably would have bought it all.) Stick candy holds a place in my heart for some odd reason that I cannot explain because I never had a grandmother with hard candy at her house… but it always feels very wholesome and endearing. I digress. Great candy, cute shop, amazing ice cream and array of sweets. Definitely pop in if you are in the area! That giant PB cup has my name on him! I’ll be back to getcha!

You’re probably strolling(waddling) around the village after a big meal. You *could* use something sweet, but you don’t *need* it. :ENTER: mini cone! For $ 0.99(no tax on top of that), you can get a mini cone with a scoop of Dreyer’s on top. Problem solved.

When in Big Bear, don’t miss this gem in the heart of downtown. Whether it’s winter or summer, this place has sinfully delicious confections for the entire family. The fudge and divinity is titillating. The homemade candies are superior to any candy I’ve tasted from Paris to Los Angeles and New York. They serve hot chocolate for those cold Big Bear days and ice cream for warmer weather. The ambiance is great for kids. The shop is narrow and can get crowded fast. It feels like you’ve stepped into Santa’s candy shop. Kids of all ages find this stop very enjoyable! We highly recommend this place.

Oh Mann definitely a 5 star+ chocolate/ice cream joint! This is were Santa Clause gets fat during his off seasons. The place is mouth watering by just staring at their chocolate fudge and caramel apples. When my girlfriend and I opened the door, we really want to say what a fudge! cause it is heavenly. So many different flavors of chocolates, candies, chocolate fudges, ice creams, and caramel apples to choose from. I felt like a kid going to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and my mouth started to salivate. Anyway my girlfriend ordered their peanut butter chocolate fudge and I ordered a rocky road flavor caramel apple. Both are sublime! Fudge is so pack with crunchy and creamy flavor. So sweet like getting diabetes. The caramel apple is the best I recently ate. So crunchy as well, and the caramel flavor doesn’t leave the sourness of the green apple. The rocky road flavor is just icing for an already perfect candied apple. Overall, we will definitely go back and go back and go back here again. And next time I will order a lot of caramel apples, that’s fosho :)

I’m a sucka for sweets and this place is FULL of sweets and chocolate. Yup… I was in heaven! ¼ lbs of fudge is under $ 4. If you suck at math like I do, that’s a pretty big chunk so I got less than that. I got 4 different flavors and trust me, it was hard to pick because there’s just soooo many! My favorite was the rocky road and toffee crunch. The toffee tastes like almond roca with white chocolate. The fudge is fresh, creamy, and easy to bite into. This place is tiny and had big lines because it’s also an ice cream shop. I was freezing so I didn’t try the ice cream. They also sell all types of candy apples. The regular candy apples were $ 3 and the jumbo ones were about $ 5.75 They also sell lil chocolates and cookies.

Homemade candy? Check. Big ice cream cones? Check. Hard on your wallet and your waistline? Check. But if you are craving the sweets, definitely come here. Lots to choose from and their fudge is insanely good. Beware, long lines, especially on a holiday or after the next door movies get out. Even in the winter when who in their right mind is eating ice cream outside? And often, the line is hard to manage… people cutting in and it takes forever. But it’s worth it. Workers are pleasant here, how can they not be, they work with chocolate!

Crazy cool candy shop! All the fudge with nuts are delicious! Love the toy train which does laps above you! Staff were patient as we walked along their long candy display shelves and told them what we wanted. Pretty pricey but will return!

Adorable tiny ice cream/sweet treat shop. Candy apples, caramel fudge turtles, chocolate covered bananas, dryers ice cream, fudge and chocolate galore etc etc, The place was packed, which doesn’t surprise me considering it was summer and hot for big bear. 83 degrees. I found it actually perfect, almost chilly at night. Decided on ice cream $ 3 bucks for a scoop on a waffle cone and holy moly was it large. I shared it with the boyfriend. We went with rocky road. Can’t go wrong with a classic. Next time I will get a homemade special. Service was good and fast. I didn’t have cash so I was happy the lady let me run my card even though it was under 5 bucks. Loved the smile your on camera sign.
