Pulled pork was real good. Only typical sweet sauce available. Sides are OK. I haven’t been back since summer 2010 because I ordered two pounds of pork to take home. It felt light so I weighed it at home and it came up as 1.25 pounds. I don’t think they did this intentionally so I went back to let them know. The guy said if the container was full it should be two pounds. He clearly was not pleased with me but he grudgingly shoved some more in and when I got home it was 1.75 pounds. It’s tough having to smell the bbq when I stop for gas but I can’t forget the poor attitude there. They are serving inside the gas station for the winter and every time I’m there they seem to be doing good business. Meat 3.5 stars. Service 2 stars.

Interesting location to say the least but don’t make the mistake of passing this place up. Just had the pulled pork and it was great. Being from Jersey, simply blows anything from our state out of the water. Oh and the cornbread, would be the best I ever had if it wasn’t cold.

This business wagon/truck is located at the Mobile gas station on the corner. Nice place to stop for a pulled pork, brisket or rib dinner for carry-out. You can smell the aroma and see the smoke from the smoker behind the tent. They make their own sauce as well. They have $ 1 off coupons when you fill up at the station. All of the pork choices are flavored well and moist and just choose your sauce and heat. Reasonably priced and convenient for your commute but don’t try to eat it in the car, that would be messy even with a tide stick at your side! No real seating available outdoors so take out only.

Ok, the location is a bit odd. DD’s is setup in a big tent at the Mobile station on the corner of Hwy 164 and Hwy ES in Big Bend. I drove by a few times last year and stopped for the first time earlier in summer. They’ve got a full kitchen under the big top — smokers, refrigerators and a bunch of stainless steel equipment. Let’s talk about the pulled pork. You can buy it by the pound or as part of a sandwich or dinner. I opted for a sandwich and you get your choice of hot or medium sauce along with a single side(choose from cole slaw or baked beans). The sandwich was tasty. Cole slaw was better than most I’ve had but perhaps a little liquid y. The ribs and chicken looked good as well, will definitely stop back when I’m in a hurry for dinner.
