R & D Custom Exhaust

Big thanks to R & D for getting my turbo miata with a nice sounding exhaust.
They were very flexible with getting the car done, and were quick with the turnaround.
The exhaust was all stainless and I had a midpipe welded up to my downpipe all the way back to the muffler with a tip welded on the muffler.
The car sounds excellent with little drone.
Very happy!

I have been going to R&D since I was 16 years old. I’ve known the owner since I was in high school.
They installed an exhaust on my very first car (back when I thought it was cool to have a custom exhaust on a 1994 Toyota Camry, haha).
I can’t remember exactly how much it was but they took very good care of me.
Over 11 years later, I have had them work on every vehicle I’ve owned since. Ford trucks, a Chevy truck, cars, you name it.
They are also OPEN ²⁴⁄₇ for plow repairs when we get heavy snow.
They are a genuine Fisher plow and parts supplier, too. Just the past couple winters they’ve sold me a few pistons, a motor, a cutting edge. In the middle of the night — flat out emergency.
They also are great at vehicle diagnostics, even when there’s an issue and the check engine light is not on.
Truly, bring your car, truck, plow, etc. here and you will not be disappointed.
Great people, great service, competitive pricing.
OH and they sell gas and diesel now at their newest location.

we had exhaust replaced for my sons truck at a fraction of the price of midas. They did great work and in a timely manner. Everyone was nice and they let us drop it off the night before. I wont go anywhere else

I recently had a custom muffler and exhaust tip installed on my Tahoe. I was extremely impressed by Rick’s knowledge and professionalism… he quickly was able to determine the correct muffler for my truck. I got a custom muffler installed few days ago, these guys did a wonderful job helping me decide, i told them i didn’t want it too loud and they quickly found one that i fell in love with in sound, i mean they tested about 5 for me to choose from but i went with the very first one, as for the tip they have a nice selection of tips and the one i got is fine for a while but i’m sure in within a few months i’ll buy a new tip that i will love and definitely coming here to R & D Custom Exhaust for them to install it, guys were great in service, funny as hell, and just mad cool to talk to, definitely great in what they do, btw the gave me a very great price that i just couldn’t skip on, other places were charging very high compared to R & D, thanks again guys

I brought my very loud car in because it had a broken pipe and needed a new spherical joint. Rick was great — showed me what the problem was, told me how he would resolve it, resolved it and at the price he quoted.
Elsewhere they could only install a complete system which was far going to be 4 to 5 times the price.

This is for work done about a year ago. My truck was throwing an error code «Check Engine» which I got checked out by Autozone and they said it was a bad OBD2 sensor. Since these guys were local and had decent reviews (I am very skeptical about these types of shops) so I gave them a call and they had me come in to have it checked out. Joe (younger guy) greeted me as he was working on another car and said he would come out to help me as soon as he finished up welding up some pipes on the vehicle on the lift. A few minutes later he came by and did his first check. He noticed that the piping after the first OBD2 sensor somehow created a huge hole right before the resonator which was what was causing the error code. It was pretty tough to see because the hole was covered by a heat shield. Joe was great and said that he could cut out that section and weld new piping in. Did the job. A few months later, my muffler was going bad and it rusted out so that the piping from the muffler to the rear tail pipe came apart. Went back to these guys and worked with Rick (Owner) and Joe again and after consulting with them the muffler was not salvageable so they welded a new muffler on. I asked for certain mufflers and they recommended me against paying for the more expensive ones. Showed me they were very honest.
After one year of having the muffler replaced, the welding has come apart. Looks like the rust on the rear tail pipe got worse and loosed up the connection. Called these guys up again and I believe it was Rick on the phone and he was very helpful and told me to come in so that they can take a look at this an another issue I was having. Another check engine light.
So far, the 3 experiences I have with these guys have been great. Honest, honest hard working people. Would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone needing exhaust help. Thanks guys and looking forward to coming in tomorrow to have things checked out.

These guys are fantastic. They did a great job on my exhaust and they have very reasonable rates. Their attitude is the reason they get 5 stars. They listened to what I wanted, they treated me respectfully, and they gave me a fair price. The man working on my car even filled up the tires with air when he noticed they were low– very thoughtful. They’re friendly and positive. I would recommend them to anyone.

Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Recently was quoted a price at another shop for $ 710 for tie rods and a wheel bearing hub. I called R&D up and was quoted at $ 310 that included labor. Guys are friendly, honest and very cost efficient, on top of all that the work they do is outstanding!
I highly recommend bringing your car to them if you need any kind of work done on it (except alignments… they don’t do them). A+ for R&D!
