Safelite AutoGlass

Replaced the windshield on my 2015 Subaru Forester with less than 7,300 with after market glass, violating Massachusetts state law. The windshield didn’t meet Subaru specs, preventing the dealer from reprogramming the collision avoidance system. Their response? To repeatedly switch between blaming the dealer and blaming the insurance company for refusing to pay for OEM glass. That pretty shocking to my insurance company, who assured me they would never violate state law. The insurance company then called the glass claims company that processing claims and deals with Safelite. Long story short, Safelite replaced the glass but had me go to a different location. Under no circumstances whatsoever should anyone consider getting a windshield from this Safelite location.

The Location I had to go to because of the cold weather was off the beaten path in Billerica. I had GPS navigate my way but still it was a small challenge finding my way. I must say The Service was far worth the challenge though.

Truly terrible

This is my first Unilocal review but I feel that I should give this company a great review for great service. I recently purchased a 2013 Subaru Impreza. As luck would have it I have had two OEM windshield replacements in the 5 months of owning the car due to highway rocks being tossed into my window. Safelite has done a great job both times of ordering the OEM glass and installing it into my new car, no noise, no leaks just like it was new again and they called me just to say they were ordering it from the dealership. I wish more companies kept you in the loop like that. Pretty awesome especially for a national corporation.

Someone vandalized my car threw a rock or a baseball at my windshield. I had to drive my car to work because I needed some form of transportation. The man I spoke to on the phone when I was upset what happened this morning preformed excellent customer service and was sympathetic with me about what happened. Technician came ASAP after lunchtime took him 45 mins to replace the entire windshield. I was able to drive home safely and I am very proud of the work preformed from this company. Thank you Safelight! :)

I try not to write reviews for places that aren’t food related, but the process and customer service from Safelite was top notch. I filled out everything online, including my insurance policy number and location/​date/​time I wanted my windshield replaced. They called me the day before, sent an e-​mail day of and called to pinpoint my appointment the day of.
Juan was extremely friendly, and my only interaction was unlocking the car outside my office so he could do his work. He called me before and after and let me know he had put my inspection sticker, EZ Pass and car starter all back on my windshield, cleaned the windows, vacuumed the car, locked it, and left the receipt on the dash. I wish I had been out there when he was done to give him a tip.
All in all, a seamless process on top of excellent customer service. Now I won’t worry next time my windshield needs to get replaced!

I belive that they used inferior glass. After a year, the windsheild is full of dings and is now once again cracked, and needs replacment.
I will not be using safelite again.

I called my insurance company (Progressive rocks, BTW!) to report scratches and pitting on my windshield and they were nice enough to replace the whole thing for me.
The Safelite guy called ahead to tell me exactly what time he would be there, he showed up on time (early, actually), he was polite, did a great job at replacing my windshield, and even cleaned all the car’s external windows.
Great company to work with. If I ever need glass replaced again, I will call these guys. Oh yeah, and it came with a lifetime warranty.

I didn’t have insurance on windshield for my 1997 civic, so I prepared to pay $ 300+ like a few years before when my windshield hit by highway rock. to my surprise, safelite charged me $ 260 and I had an all new windshield installed again.
