John Bennion, DDS MD

John is a native of Cowley, Wyoming. While attending Brigham Young University, he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret. John graduated from the University of Nebraska Dental School in 1978 while maintaining an active home life with two daughters and a son on the way. After practicing general dentistry in Laurel, Montana, for three years, he moved to Omaha for a five-​year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He returned to Montana to practice oral surgery in Billings in 1986. John is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has always been active in continuing education. His goal has been to establish a practice that maintains the highest standards of excellence in patient care.

They are ready to answer your questions regarding appointment preparation, treatment, office policies, and coordination of care with your regular restorative dentist.

As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, our doctors specialize in the treatment of infections, injuries, or defects of the oral and facial region. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree and completing four years of dental school, oral and maxillofacial surgeons complete four additional years of hands-​on, hospital-​based surgical training. Unlike many other practitioners, oral and maxillofacial surgeons are trained to administer anesthesia and offer a variety of anesthetic and sedative options in their practice.
