Ramsey Strings is a locally owned business in Billings, Montana providing expert sale and repair of string instruments including guitars and violins, at an affordable price. Owner Eric Ramsey is a professionally trained luthier with over 10 years experience making and repairing string instruments. We sell both new and pre-​owned instruments as well as accessories, and we will take consignments. We also offer pick up and delivery.

History

Established in 2010.

Our company was launched in 2010. Prior to starting the business owner Eric Ramsey had spent ten years designing, making, and repairing violins and cellos in a reputable violin shop.

Business Owner

Music has always been a part of Eric Ramsey’s life. Having been born into a family of musicians, he picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and has been playing and singing ever since. Adding to his love for the guitar, he began repairing and making violins and cellos in 2001 and now has over a decade of experience as a luthier. Eric’s mission? To foster rich and rewarding musical experiences for students and players of all ages.
