Beach Bums Bar & Grill

When we arrived we looked for a table outside but all the good tables overlooking the beach were taken … obviously. So, we opted for a table inside. Jessica was our waitress. We didn’t wait long for our order to be taken, drinks delivered or food received.
Jessica checked back with us one time. We were in the middle of still eating our food. It wasn’t even half gone. She wanted to know if we were ready for the bill and ready for to-​go boxes! What? Other than that she never checked back with us. We had to ask other servers for a refill on drinks, silverware and finally the bill. In other words, service was lacking.
We ordered the brisket sandwich and fried green tomatoes. We split them both. The food was amazing. The brisket was so delicious it almost melted in our mouths. The fried green tomatoes were pretty good too.
Price was a little steep for what we had but this is a popular beach town so what else can you expect. We would return just for the brisket sandwich if we are ever in the area again.

I should have looked at the reviews before I came, took us 10 minutes to get a table because they where all dirty. Then we got an appetizer which was good but we waiting almost 40 – 60 minutes for a medium burger and chicken sandwich. I understand why they half 1 and a half starts, poor service for sure.

Food was a bit over priced. I had chicken that was obviously not fresh. The salsa and chips were good, and the service was great!

Got to beach bums on a Sunday night with two toddlers. Walked all the way up the handicap ramp and the entrance was closed at the top. There was no sign at the bottom indicating the handicap entrance was closed
The kitchen and the server messed things up all night including not bringing sour cream on our nachos, sending a children’s order out with french fries instead of the requested vegetables, and over cooking a tuna steak that was ordered medium: it was brought out fully cooked and dry. The server did bring us a side of veggies for the toddlers, but first warned us that are spicy. The vegetables on the children’s menu are cooked in crab boil, so they are slightly spicy.
We finally asked to speak to a manager, if anything to let her know they needed a sign at the bottom of the handicap ramp indicating closed, and 10 minutes later she still had not come out, so we just left.
The server took so long bringing our check, we figured up in our heads what it was supposed to be and ended up just leaving enough cash on the table for the check and the tip.
I have been to beach bums before and didn’t really have a better experience. The food is ok and relatively cheap and the service has never been exceptional. If you are just looking for a quick cheap bite to eat beach bums might be your place. I won’t be back. I’d rather pay a little more for decent food and service.

The food tastes poor by any standards and draft beer is hot. No frosty glasses. View is great.

From a local, this is a beach bar! Food is not the best, mostly a fried menus. Great for a free beers and finger food, not a great place for a meal!

Menu was small– there weren’t many options to choose from. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food tasted pretty good and the portions were large but aside from the location there wasn’t anything special about our visit to Beach Bums.

Should have read the reviews. The outside is nice. The view from the 3^rd floor was awesome. That is the good.
The girls are dressed in an old west Tombstone corset. Not a prude but it doesn’t even make sense. If you are looking to flash skin how about cut offs and bikini tops… better yet how about board shorts and a white bikini cover over a bikini top. Beach Bums… It can’t be that hard.
The food was worse than shaggy’s. Cold. Fried. Messed up the order. No apology, just threw more food on the table and never came back.
Smoking…oh how I long for a meal with out some idiot smoking 6 cigarettes back to back. Please kill the smoking where the food is served.

Loved the atmosphere but our waitress was not friendly, the food was so-​so. I understand the place is new so maybe will get better. However, the girls are wearing the cheesiest lingerie I have seen. It’s a beach restaurant not a raunchy night club. Who came up with that ridiculous idea?

The food is horrible; burnt grease! If your food is horrible lets hope the drinks are at least good. Nope!!! I will never be back! Terrible food and terrible drinks!

Mostly fried food. Suggestion is for the manager. This is supposed to be a beach themed restaurant. I do believe the waitstaff should dress accordingly. Not like they are a Vegas show girl or in a Mardi Gras parade. Our waitress Stephanie was fantastic. I would’ve like to have something to eat that wasn’t fried. I did not have much of a choice. I prefer the reef restaurant next door. Good news is you can only improve.

The food was good… different selection. The staff very friendly. The outside deck was great in the breeze. The reason for only 3 stars… simple, when you figure the only way to get customers in is have your ladies dressed in corsets, pushed up breasts, some short little outfit and fishnet stockings! This is not a burlesque show… it’s a restaurant on a beach… totally inappropriate dress code that does not mesh with the coast.

This place stinks!!! No hostess to seat you at a table… First come first serve. Upstairs bar smells like bleach and menu is nothing but fried food and sandwiches; not a family place

Menu is nothing but fried food and sandwiches. Portions are generous in size but bland in flavor. My strawberry daiquiri was literally served in a to go styrofoam cup and was not good. Girls wore fishnets corsets boy shorts with their buts hanging out. Definitely not a kid place. Only positive thing is the outside is very inviting yet deceiving!
