IP Casino, Resort, & Spa

I had a sadly disappointing experience with the hotel portion. At first glance, it looked super nice, but it was so shoddily assembled. The toilet paper holder, robe hook, and hair dryer holder all fell off the wall while we were there. And twice I tried to shower, and the hot water didn’t work. Ugh! Also, we had the privacy sign on our door and someone came in anyway… that made me feel like our privacy was not respected.
On to the amenities: the downstairs/​casino portion was fine. But I tried to get a drink from the Cove bar and was told they had a table limit. I asked if I could just buy the drink, and the bartender said she would have to call her manager because she didn’t know how to work the register. She tried to tell me it’d be cheaper to gamble and then she could give me a drink for free. So annoying! Just give me a damn drink and let me pay for it!
The hotel looks nice, but I learned otherwise.

We’ve had a wonderful time with great food, lots of fun, and nice rooms. The problem = the cigarette smoke is off the chain! We stayed on the 26^th floor, which was supposed to be «non-​smoking». The entire floor reeked like smoke, as did all our stuff. Additionally, the «non-​smoking» casino is filled with cigarette smoke because you can smoke in the open/​non-​separated bar area. It reminded me of the trans Atlantic flights back in the earlier 90’s when rows 1 – 25 were nonsmoking, but rows 26 – 30 were smoking. Imagine being in row 25… that’s the IP. So nice, but so unnecessarily flawed.

This is the one of the first casinos you see when driving in on the bridge. I had a bad time for the following reasons:
1) There are not enough tables – 2 roulette tables was not enough and the were too overcrowded
2) I was up $ 1,000 from the previous couple casinos I was at and the IP took 50% of it
3) Parking lot is terrible
One positive thing I’ll say is that the interior was actually more elegant than you might think it is from the outside. So, I might have to come back someday to take my money back, but I might just stay away because I think your lucky will be better elsewhere without the annoying crowds!

The IP use to be our favorite hotel. Since the new management they have not been courteous or treated their great customers with the VIP treatment we use to get. I have tried it a couple of times to make sure that it wasn’t just a fluke and it has gotten worse instead of better. Very disappointed!!!

This review applies only to the bar and restaurant. Bad service. I went in the Highlights Sports Lounge on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 13 for lunch and there was no bar stool available, so I went over to the table area where there was a sign reading, «Please see hostess for seating.» I stood there for a LONG time and no hostess ever appeared. FINALLY, I sat down at a small 2-​top table. Another long wait and finally a waitress (I guess she was) came by and asked me if I was just watching TV or wanted to order something. I replied that I would like a Bud Light and a menu. She said I’d have to see the hostess. I explained that I had tried to see a hostess but to no avail. She offered no solution, so I left and went to the Beau Rivage where they seem to be friendlier.

The smoke smell was overwhelming. In our non smoking room our clothes all left with a super strong smell of smoke.
The layout was also difficult, a lot of back and forth across the hotel to get to the right side to make it up to our room.
While the breakfast buffet was actually really good (great bacon and omelette’s) the rest of the lunch food was pretty bland.
Staff was nice, slots were fun, the room layout (and art!) was really pretty, but doubt I would stay at this one again.

What I liked:
–Room décor
–Gym
–Variety of slots
–Breakfast buffet
–Coffee shop and croissant ham & cheese sandwich
What I didn’t like:
–That my clothes smelled like smoke even though I had a non-​smoking room
–Lack of low-​priced card tables
–Blandness of lunch buffet food. I’m looking at you Mac & Cheese!
Overall a positive experience, but the smell on my clothes left a stale odor looming over this experience.

Decent rooms, would have liked more amenities and toiletries though. I wish I checked out the buffer because I hear good things. The bar and grill on 8^th floor had good nachos and wings. The gift shop sold a lot of useful items.

We have been here numerous of times! Whenever we want a short time off, this is always the place we come to. Rooms are clean, trendy and comfy!
Their spa is pretty amazing. Their hot stone massage… Oh gosh, was so great and relaxing. The spa lounge area is also very comfy. I could practically hang out there for a day.
Their pool area is also very nice. They have numerous of cabanas and there is this giant projected screen that you can watch a football game while sipping on your beer and lounging by the pool!
We also love their lounge «Chill»! They have different bands playing almost every night. Bartenders are so professional and kind!
Food, the buffet, was actually a lot better than I expected. We didn’t really think that a casino buffet would be any good but this place, food are just fresh and flavorful! We tried one of those prime ribs and gosh, it was one of the best steak I have ever had! The crazy part is that, the price is so reasonable and actually made me feel guilty of having such good food! Also, if you don’t have the Player’s card yet, go get one, and you can enjoy a free buffet too! We also tried the High Tide bar burger, which is «build your own burger», and who doesn’t like that? Next time, we would like to try the Thirty-​two restaurant. We heard good things about this place.
We are practically regulars here and we have never been disappointed!!!

First the good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant.
The bad. The smell of cigarettes even in nonsmoking rooms and floors. The AC duct directs airflow directly at the bed. The door separating two adjoining rooms cannot muffle the constant whining toddler in the next room. (Why is a toddler at a Casino anyway?)
Food is mediocre.
Valet to get car takes forever.

The buffet is amazing. I ate an indecent amount of prime rib. The rooms were great and very comfortable. They have a very large pool area and hot tub with a great view of the water. This was one of the most fun vacations my girlfriend and I have had. I highly recommend the place

This is a good Hotel and Casino. We usually stay here one or twice a year for 3 – 4 days. The casino is nice and seems like the vents are working better because our clothes do not smell like a ash tray

Not worth the money. Our room was nothing special, same goes for the casino and food there. Our room smelled like urine and we could hear people yelling in the hallways and adjacent rooms at all hours of the night. We won’t be back.

Me and my friends went there for the bachelorette party. I was really excited about staying at IP. The room was nice and clean but we didn’t have a good view so it was just alright. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant it was surprisingly good. For the restaurant in the hotel, it wasn’t pricy at all. We went down to the lounge at night and the live band was great. I definitely enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. The pool was a little crowded because it was the long weekend but we got there early so we got some good spots. The waitress who takes order by the pool was nice, however, it takes a long time to get our food so I will recommended to order it by the bar.

Just came here for one night as we had a business meeting here on the 3^rd floor one morning so just one night. Ate dinner at the restaurant first floor (forgot the name) but it was Italian scheme, pizzas were a great value and huge and service was really good. Room was clean, wifi had good bandwidth, parking was a bit of a hike– but expected. Free valet, actually won money playing black jack so yep– I thought it was good. The breakfast buffet was quite nice with several stations– good grits… bacon was a bit fatty and greasy but its BACON– so I got some fresh ham sliced for me. All in all, a good night, good meeting, good value on the room so if I have the itch to come back, I will.

Spent two nights here for a conference. I’m not a fan of casinos so I can’t base this on that. But I certainly enjoyed the hotel side. I received the upgrade to king suite with jacuzzi tub… Wow!!! It was so pretty. The bed was amazing, so comfortable I had to inspect the mattress to see what brand. The jacuzzi tub was awesome!!! Spent a few hours soaking that up. It’s big enough for two people. If I go back to Biloxi, you can bet I’ll be looking for a king suite again.
Highly recommend this hotel. But I can only vouch for my specific room.

Last time I visited the buffet was almost 10 years ago with just my husband and me. This time I’m bringing my 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son with us. This was our first night in Biloxi and I choose the IP buffet. The buffet had a large selection of food to choose from. The dessert choices are plenty. It was all just like it remember almost 10 years ago. Great experience to share the story to our children that we were here almost 10 years ago and now share it with them.
We came on a Saturday night for their seafood extravaganza. The prices were higher because of the seafood. But it’s not like we come here all the time.

As we speak I’m eating at Highlights Sports Lounge on the second level of the Imperial Palace and the wait staff and food are absolutely horrific. I’ve never, in my entire life, tasted food this bad. In all fairness, the IP caters to a lower income demographic and I wasn’t expecting a lot, but it’s absolutely terrible. I’ve waited over 18 minutes for a refill, now 20 minutes to get my check and to top it off the food was absolutely God Awful.

My wife is the gambler in the family. She liked this casino the best for playing blackjack overall of all the places we stopped in to. The have an upstairs non smoking casino area as well.

Stayed at Imperial Palace, Harrah’s, and the Beaux Rivage this Thanksgiving weekend winding out comps so here’s my quick review for your edification.
Of the three, this was the smallest room but only slightly so. Of modern décor, things here are trendier. Our room was fresh and nice and newish enough.
Free Internet, Free local calls, and even an in-​room refrigerator! A nice trifecta the others don’t offer.
The buffet wasn’t thrilling but nice because it was comped. I wouldn’t pay for it. The others weren’t better.
I won good money here playing video poker while my poor mother, bless her, made the mistake of walking away from her slot without her ticket. In the moment it took for her to remember to fetch it, someone cashed her out and ripped her off. She lost hundreds. Keep an eye out kids.
$ 3 tall cans for sale in the gift store. Awesome, I like that!
All in all, we felt most comfortable here and enjoyed the extra amenities; even won a little money too. While I miss the antique cars, car museum, and movie theater of yesterday, without reservation, I say that I like Imperial Palace much better today.
