The shop had 4 young black males working there. They were either texting or just ignoring me & the other people waiting while the chairs were empty. They did ask the others what they wanted, but never got to me. I felt the experience was extremely racist as I was the only white person. Even when I went directly to the counter to inquire about a haircut I was ignored. The man just looked at me and then walked off, sat in one of the 3 empty chairs and played with his cell phone. When I left and then returned to take the photo, I was confronted by one of the men. He said I had no right to take a picture of them, but as you can see in the picture, none of them were in the pictures I took. When he took a threatening posture I said we can go down the mall and talk to some who knows the law(there is a Police satellite office in the mall). When he walked off playing with his phone he was muttering«Fu***ng white people always think…» I would highly recommend that it is not a place to be spending your money. When I feel threatened I tend to want to get to a safe place. One would think that a shopping mall would feel safe. I lived in the most racist state in the country(Hawaii) for 21 years and never felt this uncomfortable. Race should not be a issue when running a business. They didn’t even want my money. Clear and simple, stay away from this TrendSetters!
