Specialties

Baked Fresh Every Day!

We make fresh Focaccia Bread and Ciabatta Rolls every day for our sandwiches. Soups are made from scratch from stock we slow simmer to maximize flavor. Empanadas change daily with fillings we make ourselves and load with flavor. Desserts range from a classic cookies to decadent desserts and are always changing. We are happy to make your favorites and keep a rotation of yummy items in the bakery case. Our focus is on flavor and providing you, our guest, the freshest product we can create.

History

Established in 2012.

Heath and Nancy Hauptfleisch made the decision to start a restaurant after many years of friends and family encouraging us to do so. It seems natural to us that we have created Chroma Café and Bakery to fit our unique aesthetic. Heath is an artist and a retired paramedic. Nancy worked her way through college as a baker, chef and catering manager. Together we have a long history of caring for people and food is another way we choose to care. Food has become our art medium. Combining our skills, talents and passion for quality has resulted in our first restaurant venture. We are proud to be a part of the downtown business community.

Chroma is a term from the art world and defined it refers to the intensity of distinctive hue or the saturation of a color. Chroma Café & Bakery intends to define itself with the intensity of distinctive flavors and the saturation of skilled artisan cooking in its own unique style.
