Spiedies, a regional Italian BBQ sandwich made of specially marinated cubes of chicken breast or pork which have been char broiled, doused with our «spiedie juice» and served on an sesame seed Italian roll. For the adventurous, we have created a twist on the classic sandwich, by offering 8 varieties of «specialty spiedies». From a spicy hot buffalo style spied tm to a spiedie caprese tm topped with our home made bruschetta, you are sure to find a sandwich to match any palate.
We also offer Philly cheese steaks, chicken wings, BBQ baby bake ribs, char-broiled burgers and dogs, salads,& fries. You can also pick up spied meat for your own grill or spied marinade and spied spicies tm
History
Established in 1994.
The spiedie & Rib Pit is the brainchild of Susan Lupo & her husband John Schofield. Susan, having grown up in her families business, Lupo’s Char-Pit wanted to take her spiedie expertise to the next level. She and her husband John, who also worked at lupo’s Char-pit, opened Spiedie & Rib Pit and offered their palate pleasing specialty spiedies. It proved a huge success, with over 2000 pounds of spiedies being sold weekly!

John Lupo Schofield is the next generation of Lupo– Schofield’s to enter the business. Son of owners John & Susan, John has been the creator of many new specialty spiedies. His discerning palate, and foodie imagination, is a great addition to Spiedie & Rib Pit.
