Had a small ham & pineapple with mozzarella and a whole wheat crust. Excellent, slightly sweet, not greasy, flavorful. It cost nearly $ 15! But there wasn’t a bad bite. Yum.

Sad to see this place close. I wish it had been busier but it was always just a few people in there when we went in. The location was kind of tucked away but it was still not hard to get to. I imagine if they were in the main area of downtown Birmingham they would have had more business. This was our go to place for carryout pizza. They had a few great vegetarian and vegan options. The staff was always pretty friendly. The prices were very high. For each 14 inch pizza it was approximately $ 20(and I think a bit over if we substituted vegan cheese) but it was very fresh and high quality pizza. The crust was delicious, probably the best crust on any pizza I’ve had in the area. I love the toppings such as artichokes, spinach, walnuts, and love the garlic. The smoked corn and black beans on the other vegan option were interesting and over time I liked those too. I wish they offered a few other toppings at more affordable prices(some of the specialty toppings seemed delicious like the roasted eggplant, portabella mushrooms, and arugula but over $ 4 for topping was too much). I wish they also had more vegan options with their pastas and sandwiches too All in all a place I will miss. It’s just harder to get to the Berkley location for us.

I ordered a 14″ whole wheat, sun dried tomato, artichoke, portobello mushroom, banana pepper, and vegan cheese. The pizza was fantastic! The pick up interaction was seamless and very friendly. The next time I’m near this region of Michigan I will make it a priority to come back…

Took a whim and saw a Groupon and decided to purchase it after reading that they are a «green» pizza company. For $ 9 on a large gourmet pizza, I must say that it was FANTASTIC, in price, quality, and quantity. The herbed tomato sauce was really something special, and über fragrant to boot! I couldn’t specifically point out every herb in there, but I definitely tasted oregano, sage, rosemary, and lots and lots of garlic! Yummy! Considering that I was with Husband, we both ended up smelling like garlic, but that’s okay! :) Their menu is interesting enough to appeal to the vegans, vegetarians, and the meat lovers alike. We like a little bit of everything, but were in the mood to try their blackened chicken pizza. This was the first time that I had a pizza where the chicken was paired with scallions and not onion slivers. Being fans of the onion family in general, we weren’t taken aback by it, but instead, absolutely LOVED the sweet and bitter undertones that went with the juicy, smoky chicken. The chicken itself isn’t totally«blackened» but it had enough char taste that didn’t overtake the herbs that it was marinated in. Supreme bliss I tell you. The added combination of Monterey Jack/Mozzarella cheese was lovely and whomever crafted our pizza, sure did a great job in distributing it evenly throughout the pie. Their 14″ large pizza has about 8 – 9 slices, so there is plenty to go around. I could imagine that if you were super hungry, 2 people could easily finish it over 2 meals, or if you’re super SUPER hungry, one meal! Yes, their regular prices are pretty steep, but truthfully, if you go once in a while, and you’re looking for fresh, local, and«green» ingredients, why wouldn’t you go for Amici’s? I’d put this on my «I’m craving for quality gourmet pizza once every few months» list and a «Let’s have a pizza party!» list. Totally worth getting for a group gathering, and for semi-regular pizza cravings! Yum yum!

This is the Birmingham carry-out location of Amici’s Living Room in Berkley. Same menu. Same delicious pizza. I highly recommend the #1(artichokes, walnuts, spinach, fontina cheese), the #15(feta and roasted red peppers), or #17(arugula, walnuts and goat cheese). Mmmm … gourmet pizza! Also, try the Garlic Romano Salad Dressing on the Spinach Salad — seriously, that stuff is so delicious that I’d eat it with a spoon — no salad needed. I frequent the Berkley location which has great atmosphere and wonderful martinis, but when Bham Amici’s offers a Groupon — I’m on it!

Read the review recommending the mushroom and garlic #3 pizza and just picked one up and enjoyed it immensely. Way better than the big chains !!!

Ordered the gluten free pizza here and it was horrible! The pizza literally fell apart when trying to pick it up. Don’t understand how this location is so bad and Berkley is so good. Definitely a quality issue.

Stop supporting cardboard pizza chains. Amici’s is worth every penny and brings taste back pies and such comfort food.

The pizza is really good, but the price is really high! It is tucked away in a Birmingham neighborhood which I think is really cute. The menu lacks a set pizza for those of us that do not want the«off the beat and path» gourmet selections. I ordered a large with six items(meat and veggies), my total $ 26. Thank goodness I had a Groupon, which still made it an expensive $ 16. I really liked the crust — thin with a light buttery flavor. I have never tasted a mozerella cheese like that — not greasy at all. I would buy it again for $ 16, but not for $ 26. This place is definitely for the financially rich. So yes I am a fan, but most likely i will not go back again unless I have a special occasion(birthdays and anniversies not included) — like I win the Michigan Lotto.

This is our go-to place for pizza. Yes, it is a bit more pricey than Domino’s but if you are into gourmet style pizza this is your place. They are super speedy with delivery and always have our order ready when we call ahead. We always order their Portabella Mushroom Pizza –Fresh sliced portabella mushroom, roasted garlic, a hint of crispy bacon and fontina cheese, house made garlic spread. Also, get the house made parmesan/garlic ranch dressing — so good. Regarding the bad review about the Groupon not saying anything about carryout only — NOT true – it says in the fine print«carryout only».

Ok, 3.5 stars-Be warned-DO NOT order this pizza after you have been out drinking because it’s one of the few places that deliver in Birmingham… You will have NO money left. Listen, the pizza is gourmet and VERY good, but be warned-some of the ‘gourmet’ toppings are 4 dollars each… you will not get out of here for under 20 dollars unless you just order a small cheese pizza. That being said, if I want pizza and I do not want to feel guilty for eating it, I will come here, stone cold sober, and make damn sure I am not ordering a 30 dollar pizza. Crust, toppings, breadstix, are all fantastic and accompanied with a chunky tomato dipping sauce. Sadly, I don’t remember much else…

I had a Groupon to use and dropped by to order a pie. I was expecting it to be a restaurant/pizzeria rather than a carry out location so we ordered a pie, waited and took it home to feast. We opted to try their pesto bread sticks and a medium pizza — ½ with artichoke and ½ with blackened chicken. The sticks were fantastic albeit a little light on the pesto. The sauce they came with was fresh and bright tasting with chunks of tomatoes — also great. The pizza was amazing. The artichoke ½ was our favorite by far with it’s fresh tomatoes, spinach, and the walnut ricotta and fontina. The blackened chicken was very good but not really blackened at all — still supremely good. For a carry out spot their pizza is delicious! Their crust is some of the best I’ve had which is saying alot. The parking lot is kind of tight and the store is hidden somewhat from Lincoln so keep an eye peeled. We found the store clean and bright and the staff friendly and attentive. The only drawback is their prices which are still pretty fair. Our bread and pie was upwards of $ 20 for an 8 slice medium and a hefty portion of sticks. I’d gladly pay it again though. Great job.
