The Birmingham-​Jefferson Convention Complex is Alabama’s foremost convention, meeting and entertainment center. Events and meetings of all types can be accommodated in its five buildings: Arena, Concert Hall, Theatre, Exhibition Halls and Ballroom. The complex also includes a large center piazza used for outdoor events.

Mobile, AL
Lots of hallways. Looooong hallways. Seemingly purposeless hallways. Took 25 minutes to get from the parking lot to my particular venue. And not much parking. Maybe they should find a way to use some of those endless hallways to park cars.
Restrooms are filthy. Overall, the place could use some serious overhauling. Perhaps a bulldozer would help.
Just not impressed at all. Can you tell?

Love the BJCC, especially when the TranSiberian Orchestra comes! When they had the World of Wheels it was so much fun! They host all sorts of cool concerts and conventions

This is a very diverse center with multiple different capabilities. It’s attached to the hotel on one side, which I think is super cool. I’ve been to countless events here from concerts, musicals, plays, sporting events, craft shows. They have space for about any type of event or convention. I think they’re normally pretty well run, and go smoothly. I always enjoy walking in for a good concert in the main performance theater.

My first visit to the BJCC
Great complex, wonderful facility,
there seems to be a place for everything…
EXCEPT MY CAR!!!
That being said, get there early for whatever it is, you will need time to find a place to put your car.

The facilities are quite wonderful. Concerts, conventions, Broadway, and so much more. Now within walking distance to the hippest of the hip Uptown area. You really can’t go wrong.

Have been to a Buckcherry/​Kiss concert here, seen Wicked, and been to a Dayglow event. The BJCC is equipped to handle a lot, but I wish people would behave more appropriately for events like Wicked. My gf and I have been next to people who talk a lot during plays and musicals on multiple occassions, which is obviously rude towards others trying to enjoy the show.

Great complex in Bham for the Theater, Concerts, etc in downtown.
Facilities are nice but parking must be planned for.
