We bought desserts to go for a party and everyone totally loved them. Our favorite was the chocolate mousse bomb. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. Absolutely would go back.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The staff is always friendly and takes care of their regulars. The turkey Reuben is made with sautéed cabbage and turkey with Italian dressing and marbled rye. The farm fresh egg sandwich is a BLT with a fried egg on a croissant bun. Both are so freaking good. They are known for their pimento cheese and chicken salad. Both are good. The sweet potato chips you can order as a side or by the bagful. The baked goods are actually very well balanced. While everything looks like it would overly sweet, they manage to find a nice balance of sugar so as not to put you in a sweetness overload.

The sad thing is that the food is great. After seeing a 83 on the food inspection sign it just doesn’t seem that appealing anymore. The staff is nice but long hair not put up while serving food needs to be addressed. The bathrooms are horrible. All said, it makes me feel horrible to post this review but hopefully the owners will take notice.

I’m a regular at IZ. There chicken salad is some if the best I’ve had. They also have wonderful baked goods. My favorites are carrot cake, italian cream cake, and banana nut bread. Everything is always moist. The staff is always kind and patient.

I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant with their home-made sweet potato chips. I am a huge fan! The chicken salad had good sized pieces of crisp, Granny Smith apple along with walnuts and a not-too-overwhelming amount of mayo. The hand-cut sweet potato chips were perfect. Light, crisy and NOT greasy at all. I cannot speak to the baked goods but wow, they had a lot in their cases — muffins, scones, cupcakes, brownies, cakes, quick breads… Definitely give this place a try if you are looking for a quick, tasty lunch or a mid-afternoon coffee break.

Desserts, scones, and muffins are all amazing. Lunch items are great too — chicken salad, pimiento cheese, thai chicken wrap, southwestern wrap, quesadillas, etc. are all wonderful. Plus, the sweet potato chips usually come as a side and they are super tasty. My only complaint is that every time I get a latte it tastes different. Sometimes it is perfect. But not always. They have several different people making the coffee in the mornings so I guess they all just prepare their lattes differently? Wish it was consistent but I’ll keep on going because they have such great food.

Food came out quickly. The chicken salad plate was very good. A scoop of chicken salad, fresh fruit, and pumpkin bread for $ 7 was a good deal. In three visits, the fruit has always been fresh. The restaurant also has soups and a variety of deli-style sandwiches. Café Iz sells homemade cakes and other baked goods, along with a few varities of coffee. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. It is a very casual atmosphere. Tea, water, and soft drinks are self-serve.

Gourmet to go is amazing! The desserts are always wonderful and tasty. You can’t beat the muffins. Everything is homemade.
