Icebox Coffee

Icebox Coffee makes really fantastic cold-​brewed coffee that’s sold in coffee shops, bars and in grocery stores. It’s served at Church Street Coffee & Books and Carrigan’s (among other places), and the bottles of make-​at-​home concentrate are sold in lots of grocery stores, including Western Supermarket and The Pantry.
The cold-​brewing process used to make Icebox Coffee results in a really smooth taste that’s not at all bitter. Icebox’s main coffee has a hint of chicory, a nod to the business’s New Orleans roots (production has now moved to Birmingham). Icebox is a concentrate, meaning a little goes a long way and a bottle will last awhile in the fridge — you can add water to make a really great iced coffee, add milk to make an iced latte, or even serve it hot or experiment with cocktails and other drinks.
Icebox is a fantastic addition to Birmingham’s coffee scene, and it’s great for both coffee lovers and occasional coffee drinkers who’d rather keep a convenient bottle of cold brew ready than double-​brew coffee to be iced down later.
