History
Established in 2003.
In September of 2003, after encountering two solid years of setbacks pertaining our efforts to locate the safest and most convenient location for our dog daycare facility, Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic accepted our proposal to open The Barking Zone on their land. The operation was a success! The Barking Zone essentially makes going to the veterinary clinic a fun thing to do. There is the aspect of positive socialization, and boarding, coupled with the security of having a veterinary staff available in a moment’s notice. With over 12 years of success, we look forward to adding you to our long history of happy customers.

Establishing an awesome dog daycare facility was really a pleasure, but Rick’s ambitious nature left him craving more information about dog behavior. Through his years of working with some truly dedicated loving dog owners, Rick watched frustrated clients struggling to cope with their dog’s bad behavior, and recognized a need for dog training that could help his clients develop a deeper more meaningful connection with their family dog. Thereafter, Rick began his journey to become a balanced dog trainer and initially learned all about clicker training and then graduated from Animal Behavior College. Rick hopes to provide you such a positive experience you’ll remember to return to The Barking Zone when you’re in need of dog training that makes a difference!
