Since 1982, The Trim Shop has been helping customers repair their vehicles. Specializing in Toyota, Honda, Chevy, and Ford we are happy to reupholster your vehicle. We like to pride ourselves on customer service and we will go pick up and deliver your vehicle so we can service it.

History

Established in 1976.

The Trim Shop has been open since 1976. Owner, Terrell started the business in 1976 and now owns it with his wife Susan. Mellisa came on board in 2008, and has loved it since she started. The Trim Shop takes pride in offering the best leather conversion, seat repairs, and more in Birmingham, AL. With over 30 years in business, we look forward to many more.

Took my 2009 Corvette Z06 there for a new driver’s seat foam pad and leather cover (which I supplied from GM). It took a week to get an appointment and four hours for the job. They charged a reasonable $ 85, but the driver’s door speaker grill cover was dented in and there was a 2 inch scrape in the paint in the door sill. I sent them an email as soon as I found the damage (on the way home from their shop)…no response. I called the next morning when they opened and was told to bring the car in so they «could look at it»…after trying to tell me that the damage was there before. I called back to speak to the owner and got an answering machine. I sent a second email… no reply. This place is just for the local dealers. I would not recommend taking a nice car there.

Three vehicles since last year brought in here for leather conversion at dealer’s request. Dealer is 100 miles away so I wait. Other shops have kept me waiting all day, one went to 8 PM. The Trim Shop never kept me more than 2.5 hours. Seats look great and don’t have strong odor that I have seen elsewhere.
