We offer used and new books in all genres, specializing in both fiction and nonfiction about our amazing Eastern Sierra and the West. We have a great selection of Children’s books as well. History

Established in 2014.

Range & River Books moved to this Main Street location in September 2014. For more than 25 years, it was East Side Books and the Worn Book Worm in an out of the way, back street location. Our legacy of high quality, and amazingly diverse selection of used books continues, while we are adding gift items, coffee, teas, and ice cream!

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Diane and her family purchased the former East Side Books in 2005, and with a LOT of help from friends, family, and customer volunteers, moved to the new location in 2014. Diane grew up in the Bishop area, reading everything on the Mono County Bookmobile shelves, and returned in 2000 with her family. She is the mother of three adult children, who are all very well read, of course! She and her husband, a former large animal veterinarian, also own and operate a farm and ranch business north of Bishop.
