History

Established in 2009.

We first opened in Fargo, ND in 2003 and expanded to Bismarck in 2009. Originally in 2003, After the owner, Kristina Ashton went to 2 other photography studios in the FM area to help get photos of her nieces and parents’ foster children’s pictures, she was frustrated with the photographers taking the pictures. Those experiences pushed her to fulfill her dream of opening a child friendly studio that was affordable and fun.

Kristina Ashton is the visionary behind Expressions by Ashton Photography. She has always had a passion for photography; taking rolls and rolls of 35 mm film. She captured anything that was exciting and full of life; from her favorite dog named Lucy, to the beauty of a willow tree or the excitement of her five siblings.
