Specialties

For a wonderful alternative to crowded hotels, make plans to have an entire cabin to yourself. We are only 18 miles from Hot Springs, AR and 5 miles from Lake DeGray and are located on 40 acres in the Foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Relax and enjoy our covered porches, catfish pond, fireplaces, outdoor firepits and fun outdoor showers! (We have indoor facilites too!). We incourage you to get away from this world of technology and enjoy each other and the out-of-doors again. We are a family based business, we give special attention to each of our customers and depend on repeat business. All our cabins and the cute vintage RV called the Pine Cone, have fully equipped kitchens, including all the linens and towels you’ll need. We even provide coffee and tea. Take the time to «Rough it in Comfort» and enjoy our woods, it can be magical!

History

Established in 2004.

All of our cabins are hand built as we tear down & use the materials from old barns/houses to make each one. Very labor intensive but worth it! Our 1st cabin was our Lone Cedar Cabin, which was started by our friends. We got to finish and decorate it. We love the Adirondack/lodge style which suits these woods! We next inherited my grandmothers 1957 RV, which after some improvements was our next unit to rent! It is small but with an added porch is very comfortable & very affordable. We have kept to the 1950’s theme as it has most of the original colors & décor in it. This unit gets the most repeats! We next built our Oak Ridge Cabin. When we say «built» we mean we did everything! From the clearing & dirt/rock moving to the septic system, to electrical and heat/ac, to roofing/plumbing to finishing/decorating! It is truely a labor of love. This is our largest cabin so far with 2 bedrms & 2 baths. We are currently building our last cabin named Whispering Pine. To be continued…

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

My husband, Gabe, and I love the outdoors. We will do almost anything to work and live here in AR! We have for over 22 years owned our own business, so starting this was a must. We currently do several different things, our first business is selling at 1st Monday Trade Days at Canton, TX every month. We hand make our own product. We love antiques and collectables and use these to make lamps, furniture, signs, crosses, windchimes, towel racks, mirrors, frames, candle holders etc. This has enabled us to build our cabins and use the same skills to do so. Gabe grew up in the building industry and was building maintance at different encampments through the years. Being Apache Indian these woods mean alot to him, very natural place for both of us.
