Went for my appointment and was told the nail tech did not have here coffee yet.
Another person who was not a nail tech was sent to file my nails until the nail tech was
ready. After 15 minutes and a horrible filing job, I finally left. Very bad management
and customer service.

My first experience at polished was great! I opted for the deluxe pedicure. I was given a list of fragrance options to choose from for the sugar scrub and lotion used which I greatly appreciated as someone who is very sensitive to many fragrances. The environment is beautiful, and Jade was friendly and meticulous with cleaning up and polishing my nails. I will definitely return for future nail services.

Terrible terrible service. The manicurist, Laura Hubbard, hardly said two sentences during the whole diva manicure which lasted an hour and half. I decided to get white french nails for the Military Ball. My right fingers look fine but my left thumb and index nails started dripping when she sprayed the top coat dryer, which she kind of blamed on me when all I had done was sit there and wait. Then she got frustrated and started dabbing more polish onto my nails which made them look worse. Then she finally decided to get the polish off my thumb and redo it. Then by the time she put the topcoat on, it started dropping again. So she took the clean brush with remover on and started relining the inside of the nails. Well then her clean brush with remover on took off the bottom shear pink coat (that was under my white tips). That didn’t stop her. She then just put the topcoat on top of those. So then my nails looked like it was smearing but by this point, I just wanted to get out of there. Then the receptionist brought out a fan to help my nails dry. When she turned it on, the dust came flying everywhere in my face because who know how long that was sitting in the back room. By the way, the receptionist and the manicurist talked about how dangerous the fan was since it has short circuited once while a customer was drying her nails. Well anyways, now my nails look like shit. Definitely not what i expected at what was supposed to be relaxing and fun. Also definitely what I wanted to pay for.

We had a lovely time at the salon for our pre-​wedding appointments. We were there from 11:30am — 4pm for gel manis & pedis for 7 girls. We had the whole salon to ourselves. Only 4 technicians were working, so unfortunately it took quite a long time to complete the services for which we had made appointments. Those who went in the second group had to take the express services instead of the originally scheduled deluxe services and were still almost late for the wedding rehearsal.
3 girls out of our group of 7, including our bride, had their pedicures smudged before the evening was through. The bride’s was so bad that we spent the night before her wedding trying to redo her toes completely. Of my 10 fingernails, the shellac mani I received has come off of 8 fingers entirely, in a matter of 5 days.
The salon was cute and the technicians were friendly but I would not return. The price paid was definitely not worth what was actually received in the end.

Very cute space. Was acknowledged as soon as a I came in. Great customer service. Friendly employees. Brooke did my shellac manicure. She did a fabulous job. Very personal and skilled. They practice great nail care here. I was there on a Tuesday morning and received the Tuesday discount. I’m going back for champagne on Thursday or Friday.

I would highly recommend Polished! I have never left and not been 100% satisfied. They have excellent service and are very knowledgeable.

5 star experience at Polished in Blacksburg. Extremely clean spa with friendly staff. Great pampering!

Blacksburg needed a place like this.
My husband and I went in on a Thursday morning (it was actually a birthday surprise for a man who loves to get his feet massaged but I treated myself as well ;) and we had pedis done. They could tell my husband was nervous (and I think a little mad at me at first) and they did their best to make him comfortable and even cracked a few jokes. He was much better after the glass of champagne. My pedi was done by Brooke, who knew exactly when to chat it up and when to just let me relax. Loved it.
…AND it’s now a month later and my pedi is still fully intact (although it’s time for a trim so it’s coming off today). Brooke did a great job!
Also, the ambiance of this place is great. So relaxing, hardwood floors, exactly how I would design a spa.
