Beautiful secluded place. Great wines and the friendliest couple owns the place. Love that I found this gem just a few miles from home.

If you pass a few cows on a one-​car-​wide road, you know you’re heading in the right area. It’s a beautiful, secluded estate and I’d highly recommend bringing a camera. It has the family-​owned feel, and the people are really friendly, and the man who served us the wine for our tasting probably knew more about wine than anyone we’ve spoken with. You know it’s family-​owned when they have a wine named after their cat, and another named after their dog, and they close «when it’s dark». They only recently opened and have a great variety of wine. Tastings are $ 4 but they were kind enough to waive the fee if we bought a bottle, and we enjoyed their Cab Sav so we took that home. They also let us taste one that was stronger, a sort of port wine that was probably the best port wine we’ve ever tried– and we’ve tried a good few before. It’s a hike but it’s worth it. Beautiful property, friendly, informative staff– and they do weddings (and are very popular in that category). We took pictures after the tasting to remember the experience.
