History

Established in 1920.

In 1920, Charles Jacobsen started a flower and greenhouse business in Oakland County, Michigan. His son, Harold Jacobsen Sr. continued to grow the business, and his sons, Harold Jacobsen, Jr. and Bruce Jacobsen, managed what became three stores located in Waterford, Lake Orion and Bloomfield Hills. Today, Harold Jacobsen Jr.‘s children, Harold Jacobsen III and Amy Jacobsen, represent the fourth generation to manage Jacobsen’s Flowers.
