Skier’s Peak

Purchased some goggles online and couldn’t have been more impressed with the customer service and prompt followup to my order. Even though I’m in CA and have many options here, I will likely buy from them again. Thank you Jennifer!

Great shop. Great Inverntory. Great Service. I’ve stopped in there several times and the owner is always looking to chat. He knows his stuff. Great off season sale prices too.

Went there to get some new boots. I asked for help since I haven’t bought boots in a long time and wasn’t sure exactly how to fit them properly.
The young man helping me measure my foot and around 30 is my size. I tried on a pair and said they felt comfortable. Then some older man came over, recommended I get a tighter fit. He noted a comfortable boot now is going to stretch out while skiing and that I should go for a tighter boot to have a better skiing experience.
The older man went to the back and got a different pair of boots that were on sale (last year’s model) and size 29. He asked how they fit. I said they were tight and asked about a 29.5. He said they didn’t have any 29.5 in this model, but again insisted that a tight fit was a good fit. Further, he said a boot is only too small if my feet/​toes are curled. I confirmed they were not, so I bought the boot.
Now I’m on vacation skiing and after the first day I find the middle of my foot experiencing intense pain. This boot is clearly too small. I need to rent boots for the rest of the week.
I’m not sure if the older man was trying clear out some older inventory and was pushing the boot really hard. I hope he was honest and simply doesn’t know how to properly fit boots.
I understand that I’m partially responsible since I was wearing the boot and should’ve known it was too tight. Either way, I’m never going back there and wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone else.

Needed a new pair of ski boots and the man that helped me out knew his stuff and helped me fine my perfect pair.
That’s all I needed that day but I looked around and they had a nice selection of snow gear… skis, poles, jackets, pants, and gloves and all you need to keep warm for men, women and children
Oh and i love that they have a Boyne chairlift you get to sit on to try on boots

When you go to Skier’s Peak, you must talk to EJ. He’s a great salesman, and not in the sense of pushing you into buying things. He is really interested in getting you the equipment that best suits your needs.

I love having a good ski shop this close to home, but I’m afraid that Skier’s Peak is close to home but not that good. It’s not the sparse inventory that sinks this shop (I like what little they do carry), it’s the complete and utter lack of customer service that will make this place fail. On one of my recent visits, I watched several customers leave because they couldn’t get anybody to help them, and when I received «help», it was disinterested and pretty worthless. I can get service this bad from the spaced out teenagers at Boyne Country up the road, and at least they’ll have more equipment. Too bad.
