the most generous thing I can say is that these people are poorly organized and badly managed. I dropped off a pair of sandals and one single sandal and made the mistake of paying in advance to take advantage of their discount. I went back a week later, which was the agreed upon time frame that my work was supposed to be done, and after searching the shop finally found my pair of shoes under a pile of work that hadn’t been touched and told me I needed to come back. when I went back another week later, I still had to stand and wait for my pair of shoes because he still hadn’t touched them. When I ask for my single sandal, he said he didn’t know what shoe I was talking about and he didnt have time to keep looking so I’m going to have to come back and bring the other shoes so he knows what it looks like. when I went back a week later with the other shoe I was told that they believe that my shoe was in a box that may have been discarded, at which point I requested all the money I had paid for services back(18 dollars) and left him the shoe and my information in case they found the one that needed to be repaired. A week and a half later I get a call saying that they found the other shoe and when I went to pick up the shoes they had written up a bill saying I originally owed them $ 36 and had a balance of 18??? After much explaining on my part and yelling on theirs, I paid them $ 13 and was told never to come back to their store.(no problem buddy) So the moral of the story is if you have to use these people DONOT pay them in advance! They’re just going to self your work until the last minute. If this is the most convenient cobbler for you, you’re probably going to want to drop your things off first thing in the morning and pick them up the same day if possible.
