It seems like there may have been a miscommunication and will refund labor… I just recommend you know exactly what you are requesting and getting as I should have made sure everything was clear instead of assuming you are on the right page. They did seem to care about making it right, so I think that’s really important to a business so I increased my vote because I have had some lousy customer service experiences, but if a place wants to make right and make a customer happy, then I want to give them credit.
I had an engine light on, looked up likely causes, asked them to replace that part. The guy really tried pushing a $ 100 diagnostic test, but if through research I found that it’s 90% likely for my make/​model to be a certain sensor I didn’t see the point. He seemed like he didn’t know what the sensor was even though I had a print off where it had the name. He told me I meant something else, another sensor, and since I don’t know a lot about cars I trusted him and had the other part replaced.
When the engine light came back on, I went to another shop and they confirmed I was right, the sensor I had named as the problem was the problem. STS is either incompetent or scammers who tried to take advantage of the fact I don’t know a lot about engines. Buyer beware! I went back to speak to manager but he told me to talk to the guy (the assistant manager) who I originally talked to. I am going to try to get a straight answer from him or from corporate but my impression so far is that they really don’t know what they are doing. If they replaced the exact part I had asked for without misleading me, then I wouldn’t have had to blown money on a second repair. I am very unhappy with service here and plan to see if I can get a straight answer.

I’ve been to several STS Tire and Auto Centers around the state, but the one on Bloomfield Ave is by far the BEST I’ve ever been to.
I take my car here every single time I need even a minor repair or oil change. The manager, Derrick, is always friendly and helpful — and I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for this shop’s honesty. There have been times that I go in and say that I need a repair, and after 15 minutes, Derrick will approach me and say that the repair really isn’t necessary, and they aren’t charging me for checking it out. There was one time that they completely took apart my breaks to check for a problem, and after certifying that there was no problem (just some incorrect parts that didn’t even need to replaced), they handed me a bill for $ 0. Most places will at least charge for the labor of taking apart the breaks, but these guys didn’t charge me a dime.
I tell every single one of my friends in the area to take their cars here, and I’ve never heard any of them do anything less than rave about the place. If you’re looking for an affordable, honest car repair shop, this is the place to go!

The manager (Derrick) for this location was most helpful when I had issues with my transmission. Initially, there was some miscommunication that he promptly clarified and got my car running. I believe he went above and beyond. I trust him and will be taking my car there in the future.

I had a great experience with STS. Derrick went above & beyond to make sure that all my questions were answered & that the service was done to the absolute best it could be completed. An important thing that impressed me with Derrick & STS was the constant communication he provided to me as the customer. I felt like I was in the loop for each step and that timelines & expectations were always realistic & communicated properly. I will recommend this location to anyone!

I got my discs and brakes changed today. I got a good price. Derrick and Arturo were very friendly and professional, they did a great job. I will be coming back soon.

I went here to get two new tires, while waiting to get my tires done, Derrick the manager asked me why I wanted to change my tires. I told him I previously purchased two elsewhere and figured I should get two more to have all new tires. He showed me my tires were still in good condition and I didn’t need to replace them. As a woman and not knowing anything about cars, I commend Derrick and the crew for their honest, friendly and polite service. They have definitely made me a customer for life.
