Watsessing Park Dog Run

I did a 5k run here and the nature was gorgeous in the middle of an urban area. The trees were splendid and full of foliage. Watsessing felt like it went on forever with its trails in a very good way.

Nice small park in the middle of town. Across from the PO and other govt buildings. Small playground. Some playing fields. Dog run.

Better than what I expect in a sketchy area.
Things it has going for it:
— Separate large and small dog runs
— Dedicated dog drinking fountains in each dog run
— Poop bags provided in each dog run
— Adequate seating
— Adequate fencing
— Plenty of on-​street parking
— Street lights in dog runs
— Plenty of shade
— Decent size dog runs
Things it has going agains it:
— Area doesn’t seem that great
— Crushed/​decomposed granite ground cover
— Needs a little TLC
This dog run was a pleasant surprise. I don’t know the area at all, but just the block its on looks a little sketchy (abandoned warehouse across the street from this run). It has most of the basics but the location holds this run back.
