Top notch! Friendly, great food, sizable portions. Beats potrillos and that long stupid line any day!

I tried this place twice hoping if I tried it again id like it better. Both time I was disappointed. We ordered a ton of food to try a bite of everything.(My husband and I like a variety and especially at a new place like to see whats best.) We took one bite of everything and we just were not impressed. Everything is so overly greasy, totally bland, or overly salty. We really wanted to like this place but given this area and what other mom and pop/family owned places are around, we won’t be returning. On the other hand, Maybe im overly spoiled when it comes to Italian food because of my family.

Came here and had eggplant parm sand with a side of spinach with garlic. The slices of pizza are huge, and only 5 bucks with a pop.DELISH. Iwill be back very soon. Thanks guys for a great meal.

Pizza wasn’t great, but that’s really not what this review is about. What made this a terrible experience was the driver’s attitude. I ordered through Grub Hub and always leave a tip when I’m placing my order. Apparently, I forgot to leave a tip(my bad, I really always tip well). I didn’t realize that I did not leave a tip and when the driver delivered and I did not give him a tip(keep in mind that I thought I already had online), he proceeded to berate me through the door, calling me names and yelling at me. I would say that I would make up for the tip the next time I order from this place, but I won’t be ordering from them again.

Wow. Absolutely NOTHANKS. Pizza soggy, crust incomplete. The entire meal had an «uncooked» taste and lacked any sort of freshness or tastiness to it. The sausage on the pizza tasted like it was frozen for years and thawed out. The cheese was clearly of low-quality and did not taste good at all. For CRAPri’s Pizza,(did you see what I did there?), I think their employees don’t care about their customers and do not make any reasonable effort to make quality food. I didn’t expect much from a small place such as this one; I expected just an average slice for lunch– but I got a slice that was much worse than I originally thought. I made a bad decision that day by coming here.

I shouldn’t be wasting my time writing a review on this horrible and appalling place, but I want the world to understand the true awfulness and unspeakable conditions of this place and the«food» that they make. The pizza that I ordered was cold, tasteless and overall bland. The pizza lacked all evidence of effort and craftsmanship. Someone carelessly slapped some ingredients together and called it a day. The sausage is clearly not fresh and tasted horrible. The crust still contained uncooked flour and had a «powdery» texture and taste. The overall place is disgusting as well. The door is always opened, constantly letting flies and other insects roam free inside the kitchen and dining areas.(This is not a one-day thing. Everytime I drive past this place to and from work, I would always find their door wide opened, no matter what time of day it is). I wouldn’t be surprised if one of these insects ends up in a cooked pizza. The floors are dirty and the overall interior is run down and poorly maintained. I encourage others to avoid this place. There are numerous other pizza places nearby, and I encourage potential customers to take their business there instead. I will never come here again.

Only had pizza here but pretty darn good! Crust was crispy on the outside but fairly moist on the inside, my kids loved it. Sausage was really good too. I’ll have to try some of their other stuff next time.

I stopped in Capri for the first time the other night and ordered a pizza. It was delicious! I like light cheese and extra sauce and most places I order from, still glob on the cheese… they don’t «get’ the light cheese thing. Capri made my pizza perfect and they loaded on the toppings too. They seem to have a nice variety on their menu and it is a very clean place with a nice staff. I will definitely go back again and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet.

Here’s my thing: if you’re going to do this type of food out here, where there are loads of quality family-run Italian places to choose from, you’d really better bring your A-game. Capri isn’t bad. But it isn’t great, either. I have no affiliation with any of the restaurants out here, but there are two places between Capri and my house that have a better eggplant parmigiana sandwich. Again, not to say that Capri’s bad. If I lived in an Italian mom n’ pop food desert, I’d probably like it a lot more. As it is… I’ll stick to one of my favorites when I’m in the mood for said sandwich. Capri’s pasta e fagioli soup was also solidly middle-of-the-pack. Meh.

I have been driving by this place for a few months and decided to finally try it out. I noticed on the windows in front: pasta and pizza by the slice. I really felt like having some mostaccioli w/meat sauce. I looked at their menus hanging from the ceiling and only noticed specialty pastas. The prices were mostly all around $ 15.95. I asked if they had just spaghetti or mostaccioli and meat sauce. They told me they only have linguine. They suggested their Sunday special. It comes with linguini and meat sauce, 2 meatballs, one sausage and a salad. All I wanted was spaghetti w/meat sauce. I ended up with a couple slices of pizza. Almost $ 10.00. The pizza looked like it had been sitting there for hours drying out. They did reheat it. Compared to 2 other pizza places in the area their prices per slice is about $ 1.00 per slice more. Pizza was OK. About the same distance from me is a place called RoccoVino’s in Elk Grove. They have a pasta w/meat sauce for $ 5.95. Very good. That is what I was looking for. Not something that was almost 3 times the price or something with all of the meat and salad that I did not want. The place was empty. IMO the prices are way too high(especially for the pasta). I can go and have spaghetti w/meatballs at Maggiano’s and get a meal to take home for $ 12.95. Not to mention the nice sit down atmosphere. Capri Pizza and Deli is basically a take out place. They have 3 tables as you walk in off to the right. They really seems out of place when you look at the rest of the place. The prices on their beefs and other sandwiches looked reasonable but everything else seemed really high when compared to other fast food places in the area. If I try them again it will be for the sandwiches and not the pizza, pasta or chicken dishes. Their prices on the Chicken and Pasta dishes are about or more than what you would pay at a nice sit down Italian restaurant. They may be good but I would rather go to a nice sit down restaurant if I am going to pay those prices.

We order a full pan of Sicilian style pizza(½ Sausage) for New Years Eve and wow do you get a lot of food. Fed the entire party and still had some leftovers. Big bang for the buck on the pan pizza. I am definitely ordering this again.

Not related to the popular Capri deli in Palatine, this place appears to have a solid line up, and has a lot of potential. Not being very crowded at the time I went in(lunch), I decided to pass on the pizza that looked like it wasn’t having high turnover at the time, and went with a meatball sub with mozz & hot… I loved that the bread was fresh and crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. The marinara was also very light and fresh; not an overseasoned, heavy sauce– I loved it. Can’t give them 5 stars on one visit, but they have potential. I’ll be back.

Stopped there for a quick bite. Had the Sicilian thick crust. Fantastic! The crust was crispy without being overdone. The couple at the table next to me ordered the fried calamari and it looked great. Ill be sure to try that when I go there next.

I have been driving past this place waiting for it to open all during their rehab of what used to be a convenience store many moons ago. Finally, they’re open! I stopped in to see what they have and I was very excited. I barely made it through the threshold before being greeted by several smiling Italians! It was like I just walked into my uncle’s home. They have a small deli with various meats and cheeses, prepared pizza to buy by the slice, cold beverages, a full menu, a small grocery area with some baked goods, focaccia, sesame breadsticks, pastas, sauces, and some«Proud to be Italian» swag! After chatting with Joanne and another gentlemen(forgive me, adorable guy with the glasses!) about Unilocal and them needing to be on it, I asked if they had any baked goods. They gladly pointed me in the right direction and several employees recommended I try the ‘lemon knots’ because«they’re homemade» and«fantastic». …okay, I’m back. I had to have a lemon knot so I could report back. Yes, they are homemade; they are also extremely FRESH and they are, in fact, fantastic. I’m kinda mad at myself right now because I showed them to my husband. Damn it! I should have put these under my pillow. I also noticed they also had several D’amato’s baked goods in their small shop. I recognize the local Chicago name and I remembered I have actually enjoyed their items from other places such as Caputo’s in the past. I swiped a Focaccia bread to take home for $ 2.89. Sadly, my hubby was reheating leftover pasta we made last night for our dinner, so I was not able to indulge in their prepared foods or order from their full menu to bring some deliciousness home but I did glance at the menu and they have many options. To name a few… Apps: Bruschetta Calamari Caprese Sausage & Peppers Stuffed Roasted Red Pepper: filled with fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic vinaigrette. I’m definitely getting this next time! Clams Mussels Soups and salads: house salad Antipasto Chicken & Roasted Red Pepper Insalata Caesar Sandwiches: Italian sub Italian beef Eggplant Parm Meatball Pepper & Egg Breaded Steak Chicken dishes: Parmigiana Vesuvio Lemon All chicken dishes come with a side of pasta, house salad or soup. Pasta with seafood Homemade rigatoni Homemade 8 finger cavatelli Gnocchi Ravioli Baked mostaccoli All pasta dinners include a house salad or soup and bread. Whole wheat mostaccoli & gluten free mostaccoli available upon request! Pizza prices are average $ 14 for a 14″ thin, $ 2.25 per topping, for example. They have a few specialty pizzas all under $ 22 for thin crust. They do have pan pizza that you can order by the«half pan». They’re prepared pizzas looked awesome and I definitely will stop by for a quick slice next time I’m in the area and hungry. Or sooner because we’re already out of those lemon knots! I’m also excited to order dinner to go next time I get my nails done down the street and bring it home to share with the hubs! Welcome to Bloomingdale, Capri Pizza & Deli! What a great find!
