What a fabulous cake for my daughter’s 15^th birthday! Couldn’t be happier with the excellent service and selection of cakes. Would definitely return! I posted a picture of the pink and white cake.

This place is awesome. I live on the NW side of Chicago, but drive out here whenever possible. Wish they had a store nearby here. Great tasting pastry: pączki, poppy seed cake, and rolls.
I have Oakmill bakery less than a mile away, but I avoid to shop there as they’re overpriced and quality is not the same. For example: poppy seed cakes are frozen then thawed before sale.

So im out ubering around and need a cup of coffee… stopped in at hannas got a cup of coffee and 2 beautiful delicious fresh eclairs for 3.50 … i have no idea how Starbucks even stays in business with hannas prices and flavor.

Great Polish bakery, and café. Easy access if traveling West on Army Trail Rd., but you have to do a u-​turn to get in, if going East. In a strip mall, so parking at times, can be limited. They have a nice array of pastries, cheese cakes, cookies, and fresh breads. Also have a cooler full of homemade foods, like pierogi, and soup. I’ve been happy with everything purchased there. I despise, the over glazed and sugared baked goods found at many bakeries. The sugar levels here are truly old world allowing these cheese and fruit fillings to shine. Reasonably priced! Bilingual! It was so busy there a week before Fat Tuesday, I couldn’t even find a parking spot, and had to get paczki elsewhere!

I think lots of their products are delicious. Bread and croissants are my favorite! Nice and clean place. The only thing that I am not impressed about is their costumer service. I feel the girls are not so nice and for that reason I feel like not going there sometimes. …But overall I would recommend their products.

Great service !! Hanna’s homemade 7 grain bread is the best!!! You must buy two loaves 1 for you and 1 to share with a friend!!!

I totally loved the baby shower cake they made for me. Was exactly as desired and got Pista flavor too which I wanted to try since a long time and it’s hard to find ! The lady who helped with ordering was very helpful as well and also gave helpful suggestions. It is also very economical compared to other bakeries. This is my go-​to bakery each time I order a cake now. Totally recommended!

Everything is fresh and the paczki are fabulous

A great Polish bakery with bread, a wide variety of pre made cakes, custom cakes, wedding cakes, dessert tables for events, cookies, etc. They also have packaged salads, soups, pierogi, etc in the refrigerator. All of this sits in a café style environment with seating. I found this place after I was disgusted with the freshness and quality from «Oak Mill Bakery»…they sold us several mold covered coffee cakes. We are very impressed with Hanna’s and we recommend her to everyone. The pricing is very reasonable too.

The donuts and food are amazing! The staff is super nice and friendly. The location is right by the river and you can take a nice walk after you eat. Recommend if you want to have a nice meal.

Nothing less than a 5 star for them, I do remember when it was a deli place and almost it was empty but now doesn’t matter when or which day you go there you might stay in the line for good 15 minutes .
I almost did try everything here and one is better then the other,

After hearing rave reviews from my mother about this place, I had to stop in and review myself. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of the Polish pastries available. From small cakes to yummy delicious cookies — this bakery has it all! I especially enjoy the little sit down tables that you can have a bite to eat with no fuss. Other such places charge tons for their delicately home-​made pastries and this bakery is very reasonable at $ 6 – 7 per cake. Believe me the piece is enough for a family of 4 – 5. I especially enjoy their fresh baked bread and Polish chocolate candies readily available for self-​serve pick-​up. Stop in and you’ll see how this is an awesome bakery that everyone should check out. Service and selection is just awesome!

I’m a sucker for a good pastry. I was spending the day with the kiddo and looking for a place to stop for something sweet. We were by hubby’s school, and the link for Hanna’s came
GLAD we did because I think we found a gem! This is a completely polish bakery with (what I assume) traditional desserts. Their cakes are served in, for lack of a better term, SLABS! You can get a slice… literally 10“x5″, and varying in height! I got hubby the opera cake, which was chocolate and coffee. Although it definitely looked like dark chocolate, he said it was more tiramisu-​like, but very good. I had what looked like a giant slab of cream puff with custard in the middle. Very light but delicious!
The best part was the cheese cigar that I ran across! The person behind the counter told me the real name, but it was in polish, and I had NO idea what he actually said. All I knew was that it looked awesome! A little background… there’s this pretty famous bakery in the LA area, Porto’s Bakery. They are known for their cheese rolls, which are flaky pastries filled with a sweet cream and topped with toasted sugar. When we go to LA, I tend to come home with a box from Portos, and believe me… I don’t share :) Well, I’VE FOUND IT’S TWIN! These cheese cigars are so addictive that I came back the next day and ordered 10! It looks like Hanna’s has been at their location for a while, and I hope they’ll be there forever… just for those cheese cigars!

OK so figured i write a review on this place since i started to use Unilocal and would like them to know that they can BAKE.
We used to go to Oak Mills but we found this place by a family member who recommended them to us.
My wife went there and looked through some cakes and could not believe the prices. The prices on these cakes were so good that she ordered three. Two for our kids birthdays and one for my birthday which was a surprise.
I would recommend the passion fruit with raspberry cream ohh it is so good and not to sweet and just right.
This is where we will begetting our cakes from now on. The prices are great the cakes are amazing and just a little drive but so worth it.

I’ve been to many bakery’s before but this one tops it all. First off I come here every Sunday if I can make it and buy their delicious paczki they are amazing. They come in many different flavors strawberry, rasberry, cream, chocolate etc. my fav is the rasberry. Also their home made bread is also one of the best and I highly recommend this place, def a 5 star bakery must check it out won’t disappoint

I stopped back in at Hanna’s for some of the Polish Rye they have, but they were out. (I guess you have to get there early!) The only option was the Sunflower bread ($ 2.99).
I had a Unilocal Check-​In Offer for $ 1 off and asked if it applied to the bread/​such a small purchase. The staff were unfamiliar with the deal and, while they accepted it, one of the girls took a picture of my phone with the deal. The same girl who took a picture mentioned that someone else had come in with the same deal, and she was going to ask the manager/​owner about it.
The bread, though, was pretty good! I tried to use it for sandwiches, but it’s very small. so I had to make a few. I’d get it again, but I’m still going to try and get there early on the weekend to try the rye!

I went here about a year ago. I ordered some cookies and pastries. jI don’t remember what they exactly werei, but they were good. Relatively cheap, too. One of my co-​workers is having her wedding cake done by Hanna, so I’m hoping to have a better review in a few weeks.

This place is hands down our family’s favorite for cakes for any and all occasions. We probably get cakes from here at least once a month if not more for every birthday, shower, party etc. The cakes are absolutely delicious and they can do just about anything with a little fondant! Bring them a picture of anything you want and they will recreate it for you, and are extremely affordable compared to many other bakeries in the area that do comparable work. The European style cakes are moist and layered with delicious puddings and creams and absolutely melt in your mouth.
They also serve up some fantastic little bites and nibbles, from cannoli’s to eclairs and again. everything is absolutely delicious!
