History
Established in 2009.
We started this business in 2009 with the help, mentoring and guidance of the Home Helpers system, which started in 1997 and is the number one system for home care. We researched many options and chose to open a Home Helpers office because we felt this put us in the best position to make a difference in the quality of life for families. The network of independently owned and operated offices that cover all of Chicagoland have a similarity of process and mission to serve. Our business has grown slowly and steadily since our opening, which allowed us to assure a high quality of care to our clients. We have never lost a client due to poor service and work very hard to customize our care and support plan specifically for each family we serve.
Meet the Business Owner
Chris G.
Business Owner
I decided to open a Home Helpers franchise primarily based on my personal experience of being a caregiver for my mother. After Dad died we took care of Mom for over ten years in our home as she battled Parkinson’s disease and diabetes. If I had known then what I know now, and we had been able to bring in a professional, compassionate caregiver as an extension of our family, I am certain it would have been welcome support for our family and provided a better experience for all. That experience has made a lasting impression on me and I view this venture as a personal mission to bring trained and qualified caregivers into our client’s home and make life easier for the entire family. I have also studied to become a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), which allows me to provide advice and resources to families navigating the social, physical, emotional and financial challenges of aging. The mission work I have done in Honduras lead me to believe that I was destined to serve. I am truly blessed!
