Jim Spachman – State Farm Insurance Agent

Jim has been my agent for several years now. He’s got my car and my house, and I’ve never had bad service from him or any of his other agents.
Today, I found out that the Low Gas light on my car is apparently broken. I found this out, sadly, by running out of gas on my way to the gas station. Fortunately, I broke down in the street right in front of Jim’s office. Crazy, but true. A very nice police officer showed up shortly thereafter. I mentioned that office, right over there, is my agent’s — and I was just going to call for road service. Turns out Jim was the officer’s agent, too, so we both headed over instead.
I let the receptionist — who I found out later was Jim’s daughter — know what was up, and rather than call for a tow, she offered to drive me the short jog over to Meijer, where I grabbed a gas can ($ 9? Seriously?!) and some fuel.
Anyway, it was pretty much above and beyond what I expected. I hoped they’d just call for a tow, but all things considered, this was 100% better.
Just great service from a great agent.
