We serve food that is down-​to-​earth, yet thoughtfully prepared and centered around the changing seasons. From our gourmet salads to the grass-​fed beef in our burgers, we source our ingredients from local farms as well as our own on-​site garden.

We pair our gastropub-​style food with fantastic craft beers on draft and well-​balanced cocktails. The Tavern at Parke Regency specializes in giving you the kind of personal service and hospitality you deserve as if you were a guest in our home.

History

Established in 2012.

The Tavern was opened in 2012 when the Parke Regency Hotel & Conference Center was purchased by new owners. They wanted to focus a style of food and atmosphere you can’t get in many other places in the Bloomington-​Normal community, and made the Tavern a «gastropub,» meaning you can find many traditional bar food favorites served in an elevated yet relaxed way.

Meet the Manager

Mario C.

Manager

Mario Conte, a 23-​year veteran of the hospitality industry, started at the hotel on October 13 as General Manager. Mr. Conte managed several larger hotels in the Chicago area, and in 2001 was general manager of the Trump Hotel and Casino in Gary, IN.

When asked what motivated him to move from Chicago to central Illinois, Mr. Conte said, «I’ve always had my heart in this area, and even had family members who graduated from Illinois Wesleyan and ISU. It’s a pleasure to be here, and I look forward to supporting the community, as well as those who visit us as friends or family.»

Mario Conte’s initial focus has been to update and expand the Parke Regency’s banquet menu and introduce an «a la carte» breakfast option for their hotel guests who would like a made-​to-​order breakfast.
