Wine & Spirits Stores

One of two stores in the Columbia County area, the Bloomsburg area Wine & Spirits offers a slightly better selection than its counterpart in Berwick. However, in my experience there isn’t as much organization at this store. Depending on the employee, you can either get a great amount of help or none (busier times means they bring in more part-​time state employees, I imagine).
In a state where the state stores are the only option, not a great number of alternatives. However, I feel that given its prime location and the wide variety of tastes in the area (to say nothing of the diverse population of nearby Bloomsburg University), the selection could be even better if they would try bringing-​in more products.
That being said, still the most convenient place to stop for a bottle of booze on the way to a party (they recently extended their normal hours to 10PM). Sadly still closed on Sunday, to the chagrin of many. If you get stuck on a Sunday, hit up the Danville location, as they’re open until 5PM.
And be sure to always be on the look-​out for the sales! They change monthly.
