My very first Kilwins experience. This pains me to say as a chocolate junkie, but the fudge didn’t particularly wow me. I sampled three different fudge options(it looks like you can sample as much as you want for free) and thought the slivers were okay but that was it. I tasted dark chocolate, chocolate and peanut butter, and turtle. But there could be something wrong with me since my friend loves the fudge and takes advantage of the buy two, get one free offer. You don’t have to buy a large precut slice; you can buy smaller pieces which is cool. There were several fudge varieties available but the Kilwins in downtown Blocking Rock actually has more options, just so you know. I’ll have to try the ice creams next time!

This is the 2nd Kilwin’s I’ve been in(the first in downtown Wilmington). I just recently realized that this store is a chain. Although I’m partial to the Wilmington store just because of the atmosphere it has being in an old storefront, this store has the same options… chocolates off all sorts of flavors, like 20 different types of fudge and ice cream. Definitely a good place for a chocolate lover and there’s nothing wrong with that!

Love Kilwin’s. It’s a chain that doesn’t feel like a chain. This is smaller(and less diverse) storefront compared to their downtown Blowing Rock location( ), but they still have their signature flavors of ice cream and fudge. It’s a great spot to grab a quick treat after a long day of shopping!
