History

Established in 2008.

I purchased Dee’s Yarn Nook in 2008 and renamed the shop Unwound. I started in the small shop on Morris St., 600 square feet, and have since grown into a large, roomy, wonderful new space with over 2100 square feet, right on Main Street!

Now there is room to sit and knit/​crochet, and conduct workshops and classes. Our friendly staff is always here to help you with all you knitting/​crochet needs.

Very good yarn shop. They have a broad selection of beautiful yarns… including some fine silks and specialty yarns. They carry some books and patterns, knitting needles and crochet supplies. They seem to have small amounts (3 skeins mostly) of each type and color way so you can find yarn for small projects like a pair of socks or a child’s sweater but you might not have any luck buying yarn for an adult sweater. The majority of the time I have visited this shop, they have had on hand what I have been looking for! The staff is helpful. They even have chairs for a bored spouse to sit and wait while you explore your options.
