Challenge Island is a whimsical, wildly popular enrichment program that promotes creative and critical thinking skills in children. Loosely based on a well-​known reality TV show, our program divides kids into cooperative tribes to take on a vast array of exciting challenges set on action-​packed thematic «islands.» Our innovative programming reinforces STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and core language arts skills. After preparation time the end of 2014, Challenge Island LowCountry opened it’s doors in January of 2015.

As a long time educator through homeschool, private and public schools, Barb has always loved watching the wonder on the face of a child learning. She learned early on that learning and fun go hand in hand. So Challenge Island was a natural fit for her. Inspiring both boys and girls in all things STEM and watching the excitement in their faces and hearing them say «Challenge Island is AWESOME» continually affirms her reason for doing this.
