Our cleaning process is gentle on fibers and keeps your wardrobe looking its best. Our detergents are strong enough to beat the toughest stains yet sophisticated enough to protect the most sensitive of fibers. From formal wear to business attire to casual wear, you can count on us.

History

Established in 1995.

Water’s Dry Cleaning and Laundry is a family owned and operated full service dry cleaning, laundry and alterations company serving Bluffton/​Beaufort for twenty years. During that time, we have proudly served our clientele with outstanding dry cleaning and laundry services. Our trained professionals thoroughly inspect each garment for spots, tears, or other issues that may require special attention. A professional cleaning process is then performed on each garment.

We do all the cleaning at our own plant in Port Royal. The plant consists of 12 employees with over 75 years combined dry cleaning expertise. We take pride in the service and knowledge that we provide our customers. We continually train our employees on the newest and best ways to cleaning your garments.

I disagree with all the negative reviews. I have used this cleaner for both tailoring and dry cleaning. I find the staff to be efficient and courteous. I would recommend them and form your own opinion.

Have been to this cleaners approximately 2 or 3 times, but after today, I have taken my business elsewhere! First, I wasn’t impressed to begin with as all businesses no matter what type should make you feel welcome every time — not Waters Dry Cleaners & Laundry! Second, I went to pick up my clothes as I had taken quite a bit (bill was approx. $ 300) and I just knew that wasn’t everything I had dropped off. I told them that I was missing a bunch more so they went looking in the back and found more of my stuff! Oh my! Waters Dry Cleaners & Laundry seemed very disorganized. And lastly, today, I went in to drop off just a few items, but it was my women’s Gap nylon puffer vest that she had a problem with. (It’s not like it was my great-grandmother’s wedding dress or something!) No, I did not want it dry cleaned I just wanted it laundered, but she was too scared to do it and pretty much told me to wash it myself. What?! Aren’t you guys supposed to be the experts at washing clothes? It says it right in your name… Waters Dry Cleaners and Laundry! Excuse me as I take my business to a confident Cleaners.
And please don’t waste your breathe on replying — I will not be back!

I read some of the poor reviews on Unilocal but not before I visited this establishment. I am, however, thankful for that because my experience was quite the opposite and if I read the poor reviews before I visited the store I may not have visited.
My son just joined the local civil air patrol squadron and needed some patches sewn on his BDUs. Like I do so often, I waited to the last minute and needed it the next day. They informed me that they are a week out on alterations but might be able to get it done sooner. I had my wife bring the jacket and the patches to the store because the event was postponed therefore we had the time to wait. Again she told my wife it would be about a week and two days later we got a phone call saying that it was ready.
I feel they went above and beyond to accommodate us and I will definitely be back for more alterations.
One thing I noticed is the response to the poor reviews showed an effort to make things right.

Recently I needed a Mother of the Bride dress hemmed and felt confident going to Alterations by Sarah based on the reviews I searched and read. In addition, I had several items, one of them delicate, dry cleaned at the Waters Dry Cleaning business she also owns. Both are next to Publix near Buck Island Road in Bluffton. I was pleased with the quality of the workmanship, the friendliness of the staff, the price and the timeliness of the work done. I am happy to give her a positive recommendation! Thank you, Sarah! And thank you to the person behind the counter who graciously opened up on Saturday after closing to allow me to pick up my things. Next time I’ll remember you close early on Saturday!

Excellent service. Period.
I travel too much; my problem, my fault. But these ladies have done nothing but their best to take care of me when I’m called away on short notice. When my pants weren’t ready as I was leaving town we worked it out so a friend could pick them up and fedex them to me. When I thought I would arrive after 6 they kindly offered to wait until I arrived.

What a joke of a business. Their customer service is appalling and I will never again patronize this business. If there was even a shred of hospitality or good will emanating from the employees I would consider returning.
If you want to be treated as a human being, find yourself another place to do business.

After scrambling and rushing over to Waters Dry Cleaning and Alterations, we were relieved that we made it before they closed with 5 min to spare. It is a Saturday so they close at 3pm and are not open Sundays. My husband needed his military uniform cleaned by Tuesday so it was imperative he get it out today. We just moved to Bluffton from the West coast, literally today, so we couldn’t come any earlier.
We ran to the door only to find it locked. We lightly knocked to get the attention of the woman behind the counter who barely looked up to scream, «We’re closed!» I tried to plead and tell her there was still 5 min before they were supposed to close. She pretended not to hear and refused to look up. Apparently they don’t need our business and we are happy never to give it to them again.

First off, we have a second home in spring island and stayed the week. We needed some shirts dry cleaned for my boyfriend who needed a couple shirts cleaned for a board meeting the following week. Would have taken to regular cleaners in Charlotte but since we would not return late until Sunday night, we brought them with us. Big mistake.
Do not go. Brought a white button down to have cleaned and folded. Had a couple wine stains on the front, other than that, there was nothing else. Returned to us boxed and folded as requested to find green die stains on the collar, which I KNOW was not there when I dropped off. The wine stains were not removed even with their pre-​spot treatment. This shirt has had numerous other wine stains in the past which other cleaners have been able to remove. So, in other words, shirt cannot be worn since it now has more stains on it then it did before and now have to have it dry cleaned again.
They are disorganized. Couldn’t find all shirts, had to have multiple people look for our items on both occasions (was told everything would be ready for pick up on a Thursday. Returned on Thursday to pick up to tell us some items were not ready until after 3pm that day., which I was not told when dropped off. So had to 2 trips, which if you live on spring island, we all know it is not a 5min drive.)
If I could not give them a star at all, that’s what I would rank them.

I was visiting from out of town and needed some dry cleaning service. Superior service and great rates. You can tell this is a family run business with their approach to customers and the care they take in their work. My clothing came out perfect and I couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommended.

I travel quite a bit and have used dry cleaners all over the country, but these guys take the cake at being the worst! At home I am spoiled and my dry cleaner fixes and repairs broken buttons; these guys broke a ton and do not take responsibility for them. And to top it off, they lost a pair of my husband dress slacks and then denied ever getting them even though he counted them off with the lady when he dropped them off. If you want your clothes back and in good repair, I would stay far away from this place!

this has to be the worst cleaners I’ve ever used. First they damaged one of my husband’s sweaters. then they broke 3 buttons on an eskandar jacket that has been cleaned many times before back home with no issue. the woman there shrugged and pointed at the sign saying they were not responsible for broken buttons, etc. I would never use them again. have had much better luck with Door to Door.
