History

Established in 2004.

Joe and Karen Ryan began as Coastal Realty back in 2004 and in 2005 became an affiliated with the Weichert franchise and have since become one of the fastest growing Real Estate companies in the Lowcountry.

Business Owner

Joe Ryan, MBA is Broker-​in-​Charge and Owner of WEICHERT, REALTORS®-Coastal Properties. He received an MBA from Wharton School of Business, a Master’s Degree from John’s Hopkins University and Life Member of Distinguished Sales Award from the Hilton Head Island Area Association of Realtors. Joe has been a full-​time Realtor since 1983 specializing in Commercial and Business Sales in the local area.

Karen Ryan is the Broker/​Owner of WEICHERT, REALTORS®-Coastal Properties and a Graduate of the University of Tennessee. Her designations include; Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, ABR, ePro, and SFR, Resort and Second Home Specialist. Karen’s awards include 2005 Realtor® of the Year, 2005 Outstanding Woman of the Year from Hilton Head/​Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and her community involvement includes; 2011 President of the Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors, Past president of the Zonta Club of HHI, and past chairman of The Children’s Center.
