My fiancée and I heard about this place from Disney and we decided to go check out their dresses for our up coming wedding. We drove an hour away given the information that they’re closing at 9 when we got there at 5:24, we were informed that they’re closing at 6 very rudely. The workers looked at us with disgust and annoyance, and advised us that we cannot just look at their dresses without an appointment. The dresses were dirty and the flowers on the dresses were so poorly made that they’re falling apart in store. While we were walking around by ourselves without any assistance, an older lady walked in to look at mother of brides dresses and immediately we see an attitude change. All of their workers are assisting them while we cannot ask a single question without getting the stink eye. This place is a complete joke. The service. The quality of their products. Everything is a complete joke. 1,000USD for a dress that’s dirty while receiving the stink eye from their workers? No thank you.

I recently visit this store, since it was the closest, after browsing the main website in search for the perfect Disney Princess wedding dress for my upcoming wedding. Online, I fell in love with the Belle themed dress, and I was completely excited the whole ONEHOUR drive to go see what it looked like in person. I called ahead to ask for their hours of operation, and a woman informed me they didn’t close until 9. My fiancé, maid of honor, and I got there around 5:20. As soon as we walked through the door, we were all rudely informed that the store was to close at 6 and to look at dresses now would not be a proper choice. I calmly told the sales woman that I am pregnant and not even looking to try on dresses for myself, but I just wanted to see the Belle dress in person and look at a few bridesmaid dresses I saw online and fell in love with. Another woman came to assist me, and located the Belle dress for me to look at. When she unzipped it, and took it out of the bag, I was instantly disappointed. The dress was dirty, wrinkled, and fraying around the stitching of the beads and little gems. Why would anyone pay $ 1,300 for something this disgusting? I figured maybe it was just that dress, so I tried to relight some hope that maybe the bridesmaid dresses, the Disney Maiden ones, would be as beautiful as they were online. I had my heart set on a beautiful long red one, with a big red flower on the side of it, and my heart sank when I saw it in person. The flower was barely stitched onto the dress, and the material used to make it was not only stained but fraying. I asked the sales person if these were just like demo dresses, ones for just display and not actually for buying, and she said no, that they were $ 159. I’m completely appalled with the lack of care and interest amongst the sales team. They were rude, unhelpful, and just made the whole experience awkward and saddening. I’m sure other stores might be different, but this store is a disaster.

I am a bridesmaid for my brother’s wedding that is happening next week, on July 14th, 2012. Our bride ordered her dress from this location a while back and said that she would place the order for all of her bridesmaids dresses at the same store for convenience. 3 out of 6 of her bridesmaids, including myself, live in different states across the US. All of the bridesmaid dresses that were being ordered were placed on the same day and were given an approximate time period for when the dresses would be picked up. This time period would leave us all with plenty of time to come back in town and get the dress altered as needed. As the arrival date range approached, the bride was actually quoted a specific date for the dress to be in twice. The first time, she called that morning of the quoted arrival before making the 1 hour drive and was told the dresses weren’t in. No one called her to say the dresses were not in, and had she not called herself, would have driven an hour for nothing. The second time she got a call saying the dresses were in again, and then another call literally 30 minutes later saying actually the dresses were not in, only the mother of brides dresses were in. The bridesmaids that live far away, including myself, all planned to fly into town 4 weeks before the wedding to try on the dresses and make any possible alterations. This date was several weeks after the date range given by Alfred Angelo. At that point, none of the dresses were in. We were quoted another date the following week. The dresses finally arrived the following Wednesday, three weeks before the wedding. Because I could not fly back in to try on the dress, I asked for the store to ship it to me in Boston, Massachusetts. Initially, the store wanted to charge me $ 25 shipping fee, but then agreed to waive the cost. I was told that I would be called with a tracking number once the dress was picked up by FedEx. 5 Days later(from Wednesday until Today, Monday, July 2nd) I finally called the store because I had not heard anything yet. I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes before I hung up and called back. Once I received the tracking number over the phone, I went to the FedEx website to see where the package was. The package was just picked up by Fed Ex today, the day I called, and was being shipped to the wrong address. I called the store back to ask them where it was shipped and they said it was shipped to the address of the bride and that was the only address they had on file. They did see a note saying that I had flown in from Boston, but the dress wasn’t there so they waived the fee, but they had no record of the Boston address I gave them over the phone. The woman I spoke with agreed it was their mistake, but only said, «I don’t know what you want us to do». The bride is expected to receive the FedEx package tomorrow, July 3rd. Even if she overnights the package to me herself, I will not get it until Thursday or Friday because of the holiday on Wednesday. That leaves me with only 3 business days in Boston to find someone to alter the dress before I fly home again for the wedding. Last minute alterations in Boston are extremely expensive, and I will likely end up paying more on that than I did for the dress itself. I am astonished at the horrible service at this location of Alfred Angelo! I have shopped at other locations in the past for prom dresses and several other bridesmaid dresses. I have never received this type of service. Alfred Angelo is a notable brand and is typically affiliated with beautiful dresses, affordable prices, and wonderful service. At this point, I have no idea if I will actually get the dress on time, or if I will even be able to walk in my brother’s wedding. I have sent a similar message to the customer service department and am awaiting a response.
