The Daily Grind, Boardman is a locally owned neighborhood Coffee Shop/​Café with a warm, cozy atmosphere. Our Baristas use the finest espresso beans for making Lattes, Cappuccinos, Mochas and many other specialty drinks including 5 different Smoothie flavors. Your drinks are always made to order using fresh coffee/​espresso beans. Along with our specialty drinks, we offer gourmet coffees, homemade pastries and café style breakfast/​lunch menu.

History

Established in 2012.

The Daily Grind, Boardman opened it’s doors on December 17, 2012 with much help and support from family and friends. We are pleased to be part of our local business community.

Good prices and decent coffee, but kind of tiny for hanging out. Neighborhood vibe, TV on inside. One off-​putting thing: owner tried to drown out our conversation by cranking up the volume of the TV. Felt a bit chastised! Not coming back, but that might just be me.

This place is offering a superior service and product in an area that is dominated by gas station coffee and Dunkin Donuts lovers. Stop in if your love good tasting coffee and a staff that wants to please. Tasty, friendly and conscious but not speedy. Just stop in and you won’t go back to your shitty tasting coffee.

Great little neighborhood coffee shop. Owned by a local husband and wife, they are always attentive and quick with your order. Also has a convenient drive through window. Competitive prices against the big chains. If you’re on the northside of Boardman, give them a try. Skip DD, Starbucks and Panera.

I found the daily grind while visiting Youngstown and wanted to avoid going to Starbucks. The iced coffee was really smooth and not at all bitter. The baristas were all very nice too!

The BEST frozen chai! The staff is so friendly and eager to please. They truly care about and value their customers, and take the extra time to get to know them. By far my favorite coffee spot around!

This spring I decided to venture out from the chain coffee shops in search of a new place to sip a cup and have conversations with friends.
I had my regular cup of coffee, no cream or sugar, (in a real coffee cup! — I like having that option), and it was very enjoyable and tasty. Will have to try something new next time.
I also had a coffee cake muffin which was very good and am looking forward to trying a wrap.
The atmosphere is small and cozy with comfortable seating.
A drive thru is available for those on the move and there are wraps, in addition to pastries, available for a nosh.
I will be returning, for sure!
Update: tried the cinnamon roll. Yum! The only place where the texture is so soft its gooey — but not under done. Just what I love, rather than the dry pastry of the area.

Let me be honest. Everyone I worked with said go and try this place called the daily grind and ever since I tried it I have kept coming back. Forget dunkin donuts, I’m being honest, the coffee and a fresh biscotti from this place make my entire day so much better. I met the owner once and told her I would be in to try her biscotti and when I did I couldn’t believe I didn’t come sooner. Please try this place and support your local small businesses! You wouldn’t believe how much better their coffee is than these chain coffee shops.

This is one of my go-​to coffee spots. Aside from delicious coffee and amazing baked goods, the owners of this store are great people. On more than a few occasions I have sat down with a cup of coffee and had some great conversations with them.
It also doesn’t hurt that they have a drive-​thru window for those mornings when I am running a few minutes behind!

This morning while stopping in to get a cup of their dark roast coffee I was tempted by the carrot cake, to say its delicious is an understatement. It’s moist, buttery, well textured and not too sweet; the perfect combination with coffee. This coffee shop is such a gem.
