Children’s Science Explorium

I cannot think of one negative thing about this place. We love it!

We used to come here all the time, but will not be returning. Although this place is designed for ages 5 – 12, it is clear that many camps, families and kids of toddlers and kids come here. On my
Most recent visit many of the exhibits were not
Plugged in, and there were workers moving exhibits on wheels from one room to another. The soft cushion stools were not accessible so shorter kids couldn’t view the exhibits. There was a family with a young child (probably around 1 – 2), and the child had ran up to a outlet and a man working there yelled at the child and startled him and the child began crying. Of course the worker was most likely concerned for his safety, however he began yelling at the mother, in front of everyone there. Everyone quickly had cleared out of the facility and left, because it was an awkward situation. I truly cannot believe the staff are allowed to communicate with guests that way. Completely unprofessional and rude. There was probably 20 – 25 people in the room, and you could clearly hear the male worker yelling at the family for 3 minutes or so. I was shocked. In addition, the gentleman that stands in the front approached the family and chimed in, as well as another worker. I understand that they are concerned for safety, however three men «ganging up» and raising their voice at the mother creating a scene is inappropriate. We will not be returning, and will let out experience be known.

Year round they have hands on science related items for kids to play with such as a button activated hot air balloon, Jacobs ladder, etc. During intervals they’ll often have a themed exhibit on the other side of the museum. Admission is technically free but there is a $ 5 suggested donation. Just outside of the museum there is a carousel & playground. My sin loves it here.

I cannot rave enough about this place! Came upon it while on a trip to WPB and was looking for a place to take the kids for the morning. Tia place went above and beyond my expectations! I wish I lived in Boca just so I could visit more often! $ 1 carousel rides are awesome and humongous does not even do justice to the place structure outside that is also a splash pad! Don’t forget the kids bathing suits like we did! Wish we had known!

Worth the trip! I took my 6 and 8 year old to the explorium for a «quick» trip before dinner. We spent nearly 2 hours in the room. Granted it is small, however there’s a lot to do. The playground area is unlike any I’ve seen before. There are water canons so be prepared or have your children steer clear. They really enjoyed themselves and already want to return before we go home. Best part… IT’S FREE!!! (You can make a donation at the explorium entrance).

This is a great little «freebie» tucked into sugar sand. You can come to the park, play on the awesome water structure & then sneak in some science. We’ve been several times & it is now up to 2 rooms. Just be aware that it is small & about an hour or 2 worth of fun. Not a whole day event type of thing.

A compact but action filled mini-​tech museum situated in Sugar Sand Park. Its easy to miss with so much else going on in the park, but shouldn’t be missed out on. I’m amazed how many different little hands on exhibits they could fit in one room with the other room for rotating exhibits every 3 months or so. Robotics was about to end. Previous they had a hands on dinosaur display. Even the little entrance hall between the two rooms had building and stacking tables with little puzzles and blocks. Easily worth an hour or two for kids from 4 – 11.

Located in Boca’s Sugar Sand Park this free ($ 2.00 donation suggested) mini-​science center is a great resource for local school groups and visiting children aged 4 – 12 — although smaller children will like it too.
There are several interactive exhibits and demonstration areas.
It’s alot of fun — and educational too. A great place to take your child.
