Galuppi’s 620 Subs n’ Salads

Went yesterday. They remodeled — bigger. Cleaner. Sub was very good fresh. Quick. Nice staff. Good selection. Will go back for sure. Get the combo!

Well now this is not the old 620! I hadn’t been in since late 2015 and they did a complete makeover. Food is still outstanding great friendly service. Yesterday I had the rather pricey Ahi tuna salad. Fresh greens, a large serving of freshly seared tuna with sesame, came with soy, wasabi and a fantastic dressing. Well worth the money and time. These guys have certainly taken this place to another level.

Used to frequent this place but ownership changes led to poor atmosphere, service, etc. Haven’t been back in quite a while.

It literally felt like I walked in and walked out within 3 minutes that’s how quick it took to make my tuna sub. For some reason today I had a hankering for tuna and while I was at the vets picking up medicine for my Dawgs I asked where I can get a good tuna melt. My friend and receptionist Ashley R recommended 620 subs. When I looked it up online I noticed that it had changed names and is now called galuppi’s 620 subs. I’m a fan of galuppi’s off of US one in Pompano Beach I enjoy their brunch specials on Mother’s Day and always know the food is fresh. I was told to ask for Josh and I did he was the one that made my sub. I’m not very fancy when it comes to tuna subs lettuce tomato onion white American cheese and mayonnaise on a whole wheat roll. I got the 8 inch sub and all together it was $ 9.99. I could have gotten the 6 inch sub with chips and a soda for 999 but I do not want potato chips nor do I need soda as I took my sub sandwich to go. The bread is super soft and fresh and all the ingredients are fresh the only thing it tastes a little bland. maybe it needed more salt or a lot more onions. I’m not sure exactly what’s missing. i think I’m going to add some more onions on it to see if it kicks up the taste… it definitely helped. The portions of the tuna scoops are
totally satisfied my hunger for tuna. I would probably return because it’s a fresh sub shop. not the best but a decent sub for sure. just lacked a bit of umph. thanks josh for taking care of me today.

Best subs around. No other sub place compares. Wish they were open later because when I want one in the evening, they’re closed. Womp womp. Don’t waste your time eating subs anywhere else!

I stopped here for lunch today at 2 PM. It was empty and the service was quick but for $ 9.00, it was not a great turkey sub. You get your moneys worth alright, but I didn’t find the meat quality any better than I’d find at a standard deli. I’d try another sandwich shop next time in Boca.

I have been eating here for years. Boars Head meat. Lots of meat in the different size subs. Lots of veggies to chose from. The bread is amazing. A small is big enough to have ½ for lunch and ½ for dinner. The staff is friendly. Better than any sub in So. Fla.

We ordered lunch in for 10 of us. Great food, got the salad dressings wrong but everyone loved the subs. Huge. Mini had ¼ pound of meat, others were way too big, everyone had leftovers and was happy. We will do it again. Wheat bread was again fresh and yummy. Lots of chip variety and something for everyone.

The service is ok… After being there a few times there’s one gentleman that’s really nice to me. Other than that the other ones are mean, glare at you, and make sure you know they’re upset that you don’t tip.

It’s really filled up (good for the price), and the meat is fresh, as is the cheese.
Good subs, eh service.
UPDATE — they’ve remodeled the inside. And most of the employees have been swapped. The subs are still amazing. And the service is considerably better.

Love going here! One of my favorite lunch places. I always enjoy that as soon as I walk in the guys remember my order!

Been here a few times. Every time I go I feel like I enter a tattoo parlor. The way these guys treat their women customers is just rude and extremely annoying. Today was my last straw of their «oh hey girl, you must be dumb so I’ll treat you like one». I asked for 1 super Italian small and another but mini. The guy started talking about meats, pounds, combos. I’m no meat cutter so when you talk about pounds it doesn’t register. I again gave him my order and he again persisted on the pounds and combo. I said ok listen I don’t want a soda I don’t need water just put a combo on which ever sub is best. As he begins to cut the bread and I see they are both minis. I mention this and he says are you sure you want a small… yes, this is for a man does that approve my order? I tell him what to add on the small and the other guy starts the mini. When I was done I look back at the small and he had put black olives… I didn’t ask for them. At the end, I was the one who felt bad and left a nice tip for the wasted food. If you are a girl just be prepared to encounter meat heads.

I am so disgusted by you lack of service today, I call to place an order and you complain cause I ask what soda you have, you tell me just come in, your asking for too much!!! Are you serious??? I have bought sandwiches for the past three years from you and just cause I wanted something different than sprite today, you hang up on me!!! I work for city hall and I will make sure everyone here know what a jerk you were… Ugh I’m so disgusted and so hungry because you refused my one sandwhich order!!! First, the combo they used to be so popular for seems like a bait and switch. They place the «upgraded» chips aka a normal bag of chips by the register. Naturally you grab them, and boom the cash register person automatically adds $ 1.00 to your check, or 15%. Look, it it was it is. It’s just a sandwich place that caters to mainly college folks.
However, this is where I really get completely and entirely disgusted…
Use their public restrooms and walk behind the customer area to get there. You’ll see the most horrific restaurant you’ve ever been to. The floors are embedded with black mold, dirt, crust, and all other sorts or grime and bacteria. The bathroom it’s self if also a horror. Apparently the people who own and operate this business have zero sense of tidiness or pride of ownership, my garage is cleaner than this food service establishment.
I don’t have anything against this place, but it disturbs me that restaurant owners can keep such a pig stye.

My absolute favorite sub place. I don’t work close by anymore but I used to eat here almost every day. Especially on Wednesday for Chicken salad day! Other than that I would get the Italian sub ever every thing on it and I never usually like veggies on my subs. The lunch special is cheap and the subs are loaded! Chips and a drink with the combo is perfect for lunch.

I just ate at the new 620 subs and they suck. I use to love them when the old owners were in charge. They got new ownership and raised the prices and got rid of the well trained staff. They gave you barely any meat and they didn’t tuck the meat so everything fell out. They put way too much vingerette and it was dripping everywhere. The best part is the don’t have any napkin dispensers so after finishing a messy sandwich, you can forget about leaving with clean hands. I’m never going to 620 again… P. S. If you want to get a good sandwich drive down to ft. Lauderdale and go to Laspadas

620-​SUBS, in its previous beloved reincarnation, is dead.
New owners have completely changed the interior and removed the FAU stuff. Furthermore the usual guys who worked there are gone, so all you’re left with are the ‘just okay’ subs.
We went here because it was our hometown restaurant and our FAU hotspot, and now they’ve destroyed all that.
Avoid.
Try LaSpada’s instead. Makes better subs and supports FAU the way a Boca Raton restaurant should.

620 Subs is the best place to get a cold sub in Boca. Small, family owned shop with the friendliest people! They have a lunch deal with a 6″ sub, drink and chips for $ 5.50 and let me tell you… They are not stingy when it comes to the meat! I suggest getting the Turtalian or the Super Combo.

I can’t say enough great things about 620’s! I’ve been going here for 4 years now and have yet to find another sub shop that compares! Unfortunately, since moving to Boynton I haven’t been able to keep up with weekly visits, but the staff still manages to remember my order each time I am able to make it down there!
If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out!

First time and had to find out for myself! Not at all disappointed… Quite possibly one of the best sub shops I’ve been to in awhile.
The 6″ sub was filling and tasty! Sub is huge and fresh! Price is perfect!
Lots of FAU gear throughout the shop! Yay for supporting the hometown team!!!
