Off Leash K9 Training, South Florida

I cant say enough about this company…
I enrolled my 1 yr old dog in their 2 week board and train program. He had a few issues, Jumping on guest when they walked through the door, digging in the back yard, not staying in command when asked, due to distraction.
It was frustrating for me and the dog!!! I did some research and found that
Off Leash K9 may be a good fit. When I dropped my dog off for 2 weeks I cried like a baby!!!
During the 2 week period, I was sent photos and live video of my dogs progress.
This was my saving grace. Not only did it give me comfort to see my sweet boy but, it also showed the progress he was making and it showed me the way his trainers Mike and Alex interacted with him. Tucker gets to come home tomorrow and I cant wait!
We’re looking forward to having a happier dog in the house now that he can understand what we’re asking of him. Thank You Mike, Alex and the whole staff of Off Leash K9 Training!!!

We rescued a wonderful dog, Grant, who was a gentle loving dog, but had a serious issue. After trying other trainers, with absolutely no success or progress, we gave up all hope and were contemplating the unthinkable, something that no animal lover would ever want to be faced with.
We were all out of hope and no place else to turn to when we finally called South Florida Dog Trainer — Off Leash K9 Training.
Mike and Alex came over for an evaluation and we decided the Grant should go to their camp. I know that they worked extremely hard and Grant was difficult. But Mike and Alex did not give up hope and stuck with him.
I want to sincerely… from the bottom of my heart to sing all praises to them… thank them for saving the life of a gentle teddybear.
Grant is doing so well, we can’t believe it. No more issues, he listens and obeys, and is a completely new dog (well, same dog, but 10x better!)
Mike and Alex are NOT only trainers, they are animal rehabilitators.
I thank them again for their hard work and dedication in saving the life of a wonderful pet when no others could.

Very happy with the results. Howard was very professional and accommodating. The basic training covered off-​leash recall, place, heel, sit and down commands. However, Howard also covered basic dog behavior and how to deal with issues that sometimes come up. I’m very happy with the results. Typical lesson consisted of Howard setting the puppy to understand and execute the command, and then showing my wife and I how to continue to reinforce the training. We followed up by continuing training during the week and it works! Thank you. Highly recommended.

We can not give enough compliments to Off Leash K9 Training, and to Mike specifically. Our 17 month old mixed breed rescue, who had 9 months previous training, came to Off Leash a polite dog with some remaining anxieties. In four lessons, he not only learned to walk off leash in crowds, but he has gained more self confidence. Thanks to Mike, Fenway’s family has also learned to be self more confident, in dealing with his anxieties. We boarded Fenway for a week with Mike at Off Leash, and it was an extremely positive experience. We highly recommend them.

The owners response was that they «custom fit» the training plan to my needs and that I never mentioned wanting my dog trained off leash. Well if the name of your company is Off Leash K9 Training I’m sorry for not assuming that you guys would neglect to do any off leash canine training.
As for the «custom fit» of my dogs digging problem. Let me break down that joke for you and anyone else that hopefully reads this before making the mistake of doing business with you.
I was told that theres nothing the trainer can do about it and that I would need to go camping in a duck blind in my backyard to wait for the moment that my dog starts digging in the yard with her shock collar on and «„Zap the shit out of her for a minute“».
I’m sorry but i honestly thought that was a joke and it never once struck me as a reasonable training plan for my companion.

I hired this company to train my dog in some pretty basic obedience and tricks.
They charged me $ 600 for four lessons. Not the cheapest deal but also not outrageous considering they include a wireless training collar that is significantly less cruel than the shock collars you will find elsewhere. It is more of a TENS unit than outright shocker and was almost always only used on just vibrate mode or 3% shock.
My issue lies with the name of the company. You might think that a company billing itself as OFF LEASH K9 training, would ya know maybe train the dogs off leash? Well if you thought that, you thought wrong.
In her lessons, she was NEVER, not even once, trained without a leash on.
There are many other dog trainers out there that charge a lot less and don’t bill themselves as training your dog without a leash being a part of it.
The trainer was an extremely nice guy, worked great with my dog and was all around just a pleasant person to work with. I have no issue with him.
I wish I paid with a credit card so I could get my money back.
The most insulting part is that these people never even attempted to respond to me with my issue, like at least do me the courtesy of coming up with some BS excuse as to why they didnt do anything wrong.
Your silence speaks volumes.

We would recommend Off Leash K9 Training South Florida to anyone who has a dog. They not only teach obedience, but give your dog confidence. You can board and train, or they will come to you for in home training. They are simply the best and give every dog loving care. I would not use anyone else.

We had our new one year old black lab rescue, Clark, for about 2 months when I reached a point that I thought we may have to send him back. He would drag me and my 9 year old son down the street and into traffic during walks, would be constantly after other dogs without regard for us calling on him, jumping and pawing on guests (and us), bolting out the door as soon as we would open one, etc. I knew we had to put him through training, however I never really saw results in the cheaper «one size fits all» group training with my childhood dog where you basically hope for the best. That’s when I looked into one on one training. Off Leash K9 came in number one for me after my Google research and I’m infinitely glad that I made the choice to go with them. Howard, our trainer, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and accesible throughout the entire training period. From the very start when he called me to introduce himself and learn a bit about our situation and to schedule our first session, to calling me during the week between sessions to see how we were doing and offering personalized tips, to the end when he offered to be available by text or phone to answer any questions or concerns we might have, even beyond our 4 session training. He was also very accomodating with regards to where to meet for training, time, and day. Clark is a changed dog! Thank you Howard! All in all, this is the best way to go if you want real results (keeping in mind that you have to put in alot of the work in between sessions and after the formal training is over).
