Slow for fast food. Inefficient when employees monitor trainees but the rush line gets longer and longer with available registers unused. Stupid as the menu upgrades and options on the big colorful display remain unavailable according to the person taking orders.

We went here last night for the first time in a few months and the quality has really gone downhill. The portions have gotten much smaller, the flavor has gotten worse and the prices of course have gone up. I love when prices go up but you get less food at a lower quality. This place has turned into quite a dump over the past few months. I would not recommend this location and have felt sick ever since I ate my small chicken tropi chop. I am done with this restaurant. Too bad.

I ordered the chicken quesadilla wrap and it was so delicious! My favorite sauce is the cilantro garlic — it’s yummies. My husband enjoys the rotisserie chicken, the table was clean it was sticky. Overall, we will be paying a return visit!

Nothing like half a chicken Who do they think they are fooling? They cut half the dark meat off the leg and then sell that separately! The chicken was horrible and dry, the ribs horrible and dry.

Probably the worst«Mexican» style food I’ve been to in a while. First off the cashier had the worst accent and horrible annunciation that I could barely make out what she was asking me. It wasn’t even busy yet they manage to screw up our order by not providing one of the meals my group ordered and they forgot my unsweetened mango iced tea. The food was not hot at all and so much for chicken quesadillas it was like a knock off chicken burrito from Taco Bell except it tasted worse. Overall I would not come back here unless I wanted a unsweetened mango tea(yes they offer it sweetened too) because that was the only thing that I could swallow without feeling like I have to throw up. Now after somehow managing to eat a portion of my garbage tasting food I feel sick to my stomach. Do not come here, ever!

The food was delicious, service was prompt, but best of all the staff put a customer at ease when he dropped a whole tray of food. Several employees told him it was no problem and they replaced his food at no charge. The management is clearly very skilled and professional. We just moved to Boca Raton and we will certainly eat here again.

The lack of effort by the staff at this location makes me never want to eat here again. I paid for the half chicken. That includes one piece of white meat and one dark with a small wing and 2 sides. They gave me two pieces of dark meat and acted like that was normal and they didn’t know our care about what I was talking about.

One star is to many. Horrible old tasting food. It looks and tastes like it’s from days before!

Good food and good service. Chicken it’s always fresh. Just wish they had drink strain where you can fill you’re own drink

Worst Pollo Tropical I’ve been too. Really needs better management. I waited 20 minutes for my food, along with other customers, before asking for a refund and leaving. They didn’t even question me getting a refund??? They were happy to see me go I guess. Bad thing is, this is my 2nd horrible experience at this location. The first time I had to go through the drive thru due to a broken leg and had to pull off to the side as my order wasn’t ready. After waiting 15 minutes in the parking lot I called the store and asked them if my food was ready. They said«yeah, it’s been ready. Come in and pick it up». Now that’s great customer service… this place is a joke. I will never go back and it will be a while before I consider any Pollo. With restaurants like La Granja I don’t need Pollo. 1 star because I have to.

Come here most days I eat out for lunch. Good, fresh food, inexpensive, and quick. Menu has been updated and there seems to be new management at this location. Love me some Pollo because it gives me my Caribbean food fix!

We visited this location after a Florida Atlantic football game and were thrilled it was open late. Fortunately, the quality didn’t deteriorate late into the night. The place was clean, service was good and all the food we ordered was hot and tasty. For a fast food chain, this place is much healthier than most. The meat we had was actually lean and tender, too. And, the mango sweet tea is awesome!

A step above typical fast food, you can get a decent portion of veggies with your meal, which is nice. I have always gotten the tropichop bowls. They resonate with me in a special way, because they bear enough resemblance to my beloved street cart chicken from when I was living in New York City to scratch that particular itch. Interesting selection of sauces, unlimited free toppings, decent prices. I’ve been to this location many times and also to some of the other locations. The food and ambiance are about the same at different locations, as you’d expect from a chain like this. I can’t give it five stars, because it’s neither as tasty nor as cheap as Rafiqi’s street cart chicken in NYC. But it’s pretty good, my go-to fast food place if there’s one nearby.

3.5 You can’t be a food snob when coming to Pollo and you can’t expect lightening to strike twice. Pollo is what we like to consider the healthiest of fast food options when we need a quick bite. Almost all of them have their own horror stories. Like the one on Wiles I’m pretty sure you need a tetanus shot to enter and the one in Delray isn’t that much better. However; Pollo has a variety and for a great price too but it is widely inconsistent most of the times. While you have to be a complete and utter moron to opt for ribs here when there is just so many other places that serve true authentic BBQ ribs within the area, their chicken meals are a dandy selection. Boiled yucca with garlic sauce, corn, rice and beans. All that is better than anything fried you can get within minus for surrounding fast food chains. See, you have to lower your standards for a bit and just know what you’re about to get into. Sure, you’ll see lengthy lines at lunch. The lines here are like getting on a NYC subway system during rush hour. You got all kinds here, construction workers, college kids, the po-po all the way to those creepy dudes who just stare at every female that walks in the place. You know exactly the kind I’m talking about. They usually look like they are painters and they eat the chicken with their bare hands like it’s their last meal. Those dudes need a restraining order something serious. The staff is usually friendly at the counter and playful behind it. I rarely see the same people here for too long but all that aside, Pollo is a good quick meal where you won’t have much guilt afterwards. The sauce bar is good, but beware it’s not that most sanitary place but that guava BBQ sauce is pretty pretty pretty good. Just have patience, expect the unexpected and learn to assimilate when you’re in the company of criminals, law enforcement and regular Joes like myself.

Normally this location is ok. We waited several minutes to be acknowledged. We put in our order and headed to the topping bar — our favorite! This particular night there was no Cilantro Garlic. When we informed the staff, we were told they had to change the soda out and could they give us water in the meantime. By the time we got our sodas and sauce(after a reminder from us and a request from another patron), we were done eating. Sheesh!

Soooooo much better than Mi Pollo Loco on the west coast! I’m drooling just thinking about the roast pork I had. Only complaint is with the platter when you get rice and veggies, I guess they think veggies are just the onion its garnished with and peas in the rice. Also, they seem to have gotten a little stingy with the size of their wraps. Regardless, great deal for some tasty meat.

Didn’t really know what to expect when I found this on Unilocal.Turns out it is a fast-food chain. They have a large selection of different combinations of chicken, rice, beans, and vegetables. The combo meals were just over $ 6.50 each. When I went, it was very busy. The drive thru line had about 10 cars in it and the line inside had about 15 people in it. Since they were so busy, the service was really slow. You can get free refills, but they have the fountain machine behind the counter. We had to wait about 5 minutes to get a refill. Also, we got the Chicken Quesadilla Salad, but they didn’t give us the dressing for it. That took another 5 minutes waiting in line. The food was very fresh and you could see them making it right in front of you. I feel like we got a lot of food for the price. Good value and fresh food, not so great service.
